Back in 2017 in Erie, Illinois, Connie and Larry Van Oosten were a married retired couple who would be kidnapped from their home.  About a day later, 30 miles away from Erie in Albany, a woman would walk into the First Trust and Savings bank. She was still dressed in her pajamas and gave the bank teller a cashier’s check for $350,000. This was made out to a company called The Store Edge.  At the same time, the woman slipped a handwritten letter to the teller. This stated, “I am here under duress. Please call the police. My husband and I are being held at gunpoint. Do not react. Do not follow us.”

Investigators had discovered that the company The Store Edge that was written on the check left at the bank, was owned by a man named Chad Schipper. With this discovery, he became the prime suspect. As police zeroed in on the home residence, his wife and six children were woken up in the middle of the night with police demanding to know where Chad was.

After a high speed chase ended in the arrest of their prime suspect, investigators searched his rental home. They would also locate a room with a screen that appeared to be showing security footage. An elderly couple were seen in a concrete room shackled to a wall forced to stand up and blindfolded. There were no stairs to be seen, only a ladder against the wall. As they began removing the floors, they would uncover a steel-lined door in a closet that led to a soundproofed underground cellar. The couple were weak from lack of food and sleep. They were both bruised and showing signs of hypothermia. After realizing they were being rescued, they embraced deputies in tears.

A terrifying kidnapping of a tourist, found by members of the criminal underworld, possibly using an instagram location tag led to body parts washing up on the beach. Bali was once said to be a safe place to travel, however, the increase in murders within the last few years leads many to believe otherwise. Interpol has issued many red notices for wanted suspects in criminal cases from the island who have yet to be caught. Would you travel to Indonesia in 2026? 

Indonesia police are working with Interpol to find 6 suspects in the kidnapping and murder of a man in Bali. 2 months ago, 28 year old tourist Igor Komarov and his 25 year old girlfriend Yea Mishalova were traveling around in Bali when on February 15th, Igor was kidnapped. It was theorized that her Instagram post, tagged the location of their travels might have led to his capture.

On July 24th, Morgan Violi was right outside of the apartment building with her sister and the friends they had made where they lived. They were all playing when Morgan would vanish.Witnesses stated that a white man grabbed Morgan and put her into a Maroon Chevrolet van and drove away. One witness remembered the van was burgundy with a KY license plate containing the letters MN and said that the male was white in his 20s with shoulder length brown hair, unshaven, a thin build, a tanned complexion and was wearing blue jeans and a white-t-shirt.

2 days later, the van involved in the kidnapping had been located near in Franklin, TN, about an hour drive from Bowling Green. 3 months later, on October 20th 1996, in White House, Tennessee, about 30 minutes from where the van was abandoned, Morgan's body was found. She had been murdered. While Morgan’s father Glen himself admitted that he failed 5 lie-detector tests, the FBI special agents stated that they’ve never named him as a suspect.

In 2015, 18 years since Morgan’s abduction, the FBI began investigating a new case that they believed to be eerily similar to Morgan’s. This was another murder of a 7 year old girl in Scottsville, KY. Scottsville was 30 minutes from Bowling Green. 7 year old Gabriella "Gabbi" Doolin was watching a youth football game of her older brother on November 15th 2015 when she vanished. Her body was found in a creek 400 yards from the game. Ruled a homicide due to strangulation and drowning. A week later, DNA found at the scene was linked to 38 year old Timothy Madden.

on February 27th 2026 that they could officially name a suspect in the kidnapping and murder of Morgon Violi. Not her father, not Tony Scott Redemann, not even Timothy Madden. This was a 62 year old named Robert Froburg. But he was an inmate and had been since all the way back before 1996. How was this possible?

3 victims, all in the Syracuse, New York area, were kidnapped and released within 6 years. However, they didn’t appear to fit the same victim profile. The 14 year old Michelle was a Latina, whereas 53 year old La was Vietnamese and 26 year old Jennifer was White. All different ages, different ethnicities. But what did they have in common? These were 3 survivors who felt as though they weren’t being ignored by police. 

When a 16 year old vanished in 2002, becoming the 4th known victim, she would bravely make her escape 7 months later. This time, she was rescued after persuading her captor to trust her and allow her outside of the house where she called for help. He was arrested, she survived. However, her captor turned out to be a 67 year old John Thomas Jamelske, a millionaire hoarder. Detectives would find a self-built dungeon under his home where he had been holding girls for 15 years. The real first victim, Kirsten had been threatened out of going to police. She was abducted back in 1988 when she was 14 years old.

The "Dungeon Master" had abducted and held 5 girls captive for months to years and while survivors try to warn the Syracuse police, they ignored their stories until they were standing in this monsters dungeon of horrors.

In 2011, 3 students were found dead within months from the North Port High School in Sarasota Co, Florida. On March 15th 2011, 16 year old Marcus Freeman passed away. That day, he was driving his girlfriend home when he got into a car crash and died from his injuries. A devastating loss but not the last the community would face. A month later, on April 8th 2011, 16 year old Wesley McKinley passed away. The next month, on May 4th, a student from the same school, 17 year old Brittany Palumbo was found dead in her bedroom closet.

15 days after the death of Brittany Palumbo the school board of Sarasota Co went to investigate the North Port High School. The Board had been asked to investigate a situation that involved the possible hypnosis of students by the school principal Dr. George Kenney.

On May 17th 2011, Dr. George Kenney was placed on administrative leave. Parents and students alike began to accuse the principal of not knowing the dangerous side effects of hypnosis and aiding in their deaths.

Back in 2001, Michelle Hundley Smith was a 38 year old married mother of 3  living in Eden, NC.  She had a 19 year old daughter, a 14 year old daughter and a 7 year old son. ON December 9th 2001, she left her home to go Christmas shopping for the kids. She was allegedly headed to a nearby Wal-Mart. She left around 8:30pm and headed to the shopping area in Martinsville, VA which was about 17 miles away from the home. She took her green 1995 Pontiac TransSport Van and went alone. She never made it home that night. 22 days later, she had not returned. She was reported missing on December 31st 2001.

Oddly enough, there was another woman who vanished a few months prior to Michelle in the same area. 33 year old Angela Whalen Hudson vanished in Ruffin, NC about 20 minutes from Eden. Angela was last seen on September 20th 2001 by her husband Robert Hudson at her home. Angela had filed for divorce shortly before this and the day she vanished she was meant to have the 2nd meeting with her divorce attorney. 24 years after she vanished, no one knew what happened to her, just like Michelle. 

Then on February 19th 2026, 24 years after Michelle vanished, it would then be revealed by the Rockingham Co SO that they had come in contact with the missing Michelle Hundley Smith herself. She was alive and well. However, her current whereabouts will remain undisclosed per her request and she asked her family not to contact her.

When a woman walked into the American Consulate in Mexico with 8 children in tow, no one had any idea they were looking at a woman who had been kidnapped 19 years prior. This woman was not even yet a pre-teen when she vanished from the states, now she begged for help to return and escape her captor. 

Back in 1997, Rosalynn McGinnis was 12 years old living with her mother, stepfather and brothers in Poteau, Oklahoma.  She was attending middle school on January 31st 1997 and never returned home. 19 years later, a woman showed up at the US Consulate in Nogales, Mexico. She had 8 kids following behind. It was July 2016 and the woman told the guards on duty that she was an American citizen and she had been kidnapped many years ago. Her name? Rosalynn McGinnis. 
By September 2017, a year after Rosalynn’s escape, the DSS confirmed that her captor had been located in Mexico. This was the first time any US authority had located him since 1997. His name? Henri Piette. Rosalynn’s stepfather. Rosalynn was trapped with her kidnapper and was forced to have his children as a teenager. Henri frequently moved the family all around Mexico and Guatemala.

19 years and 9 kids later, Rosalynn was finally free. She had survived this monster for nearly two decades.

On December 26th 2021 police were called to a Texaco gas station in Garland Texas. Garland PD arrived at 730 W Walnut St that evening to find 4 victims. They all appeared to be teenagers. CCTV footage of the incident was located in the gas station. The victims deceased inside were found to be 14 year old Xavier Gonzales, 6 year old Ivan Noyola and 17 year old Rafael Garcia. 

Now, upon full examination of the CCTV footage, Detective Lucas Shupe, the lead on the case would explain that when the white pickup truck pulled into the lot, there were 2 occupants, the driver who was an adult male and the teen passenger. The teen didn’t leave the vehicle upon arrival. Instead, it was the adult male who went into the store and purchased medicine, looking around the store. He then returned to the truck and appeared to be talking to the passenger. Both were seen pointing inside the store. The truck then backed up, circling around the store through the fuel pumps. They left the view of the camera briefly before returning. This time, the teen exited the truck. He now had on a baseball cap and a mask, the kind we all know well from covid. He was wearing dark colored shorts, dark colored slides and no shirt. He headed to the front of the store, opened the door and began killing.

14 year old Abel Acosta was charged with murder, however vanished that day and has not been seen since. He is now a fugitive of the law. If you have information about Abel Acosta’s whereabouts, contact the Garland Police or submit an anonymous tip through Crime Stoppers.

Back in 2023, 6 people were renting a home together in Berkeley, MO. This was nearby St.Louis and the international airport. 29 year old Naaman Williams, 23 year old Mikayla Thompson, 26 year old mother Gerielle German and her 3-year-old son Ashton Mitchell as well as 25 year old mother Ma’Kayla Wickerson and her 3-year daughter Malaiyah.

A mother of one of the victims pointed detectives in the direction of an online group, often referred to as a tiktok and YouTube cult. This was led by a man with an online platform named Rashad Jamal. Rashad had created ‘The University of Cosmic Intelligence.' This "cult" had been linked to 2 other murders and the cult leader's own conviction. Now, 6 people had mysteriously vanished.
