Gone for a minute, now I’m back with the justification for my self-induced world tour, the importance of maintaining relationships, and reinforcing foundations.

Parent-child dynamics are ultimately the foundation for everything we go through. Parents teach children their morals, values, influence their idiosyncrasies, and introduce love, worth, and basic standards. But what do you do when you’ve evolved from the standards set by your parents, have come into your own as an adult, but are now living with your parents again?! Yeah chile, I don’t know either. Let’s talk about it.

If you take nothing else away from this episode, remember “it’s not about you!” We have a tendency to accept blame, be affected, or take offense to the things others say and do. Take nothing personally. Nothing that anyone does is because of you, but because of them. Let’s talk about it!

I questioned whether I wanted to release an episode this week. Honest moment, I didn’t feel as though my messages were relevant, helpful, or coherent anymore. Thank you to my support system for encouraging me to maintain the course. Here’s an episode with questionable mic quality (sorry!), but with an apparent message that blessed even me while recording.

Overly Ambitious Podcast is officially ONE! As I think about the ambitious goals I’ve smashed and the goals I’m constantly planning, it’s easy to get caught up in the comparison of my wins to the wins of others. I have to always remind myself that comparison really is the thief of joy! I’m learning to have gratitude in all areas of my life, and for all of God’s blessings both big and small.
