Tanjiro, Inosuke, and Zenitsu are recovering from the butt-whooping they received at spider mountain with some training from hell, because their next mission will be their most dangerous yet. Tasked with accompanying hashira Rengoku to take on the mysterious Infinity Train, you know, that one the movie Demon Slayer: Mugen Train talks about? Anyway, this is the manga version of that. This week, Matt, Sam, Jae, and Jacob read and discuss Demon Slayer by Koyoharu Gotōge.

No-Read November finally comes to a merciful end with one final movie. Goku is your average AMERICAN high schooler, just trying to make it through class alive. Bullies pick on him, girls don't notice him, what's a guy to do? Oh wait, now his grandpa was killed by Piccolo, a girl named Bulma breaks into his house, and now he's on a quest to find the dragon balls. And then... ugh, like a bunch of stuff happens. Its kinda hard to summarize. This week, Matt, Sam, Jae, and Jacob watch and discuss... Dragonball Evolution... pls no... help...

No-Read November crosses the half-way point, and we're hitting hard mode. Erin Yeager is a kid who lives in a medieval walled, that appears to be built out of abandoned helicopters? Anyway, there's some giant cgi monsters that live just outside the wall, and his childhood friend Mikasa Ackerman is killed, but actually not, and then hooks up with someone's weird self-insert OC. Its... a movie alright. This week, Matt, Sam, Jae, and Jacob watch and discuss... part 1 of the live-action Attack on Titan movie... yay...

No-Read November continues on, with no reading this whole month and instead watching movies. Light Turner is just your average AMERICAN school kid that no one understands, getting picked on by bullies, and never noticed by the girl of his dreams. But what if he could make them all pay? Then William Dafoe gives him a magic notebook that can kill people. Now he's off to make the world a better place by killing criminals and becoming God. Also, if a cute girl notices him for it, then what's the harm? This week, Matt, Sam, Jae, and Jacob watch and discuss... the Netflix live-action Death Note movie... yay...

No-Read November begins in full force! This month we're taking a break from reading manga, to watch some movies. Edward Elric accidently traded his brother's body and an arm and a leg to get a flesh blog vaguely shaped like his mother. Now he's on a quest to get everything back. It then kind of devolves into a weird collection of scenes from the anime loosely connected with unnecessary cgi. This week, Matt, Sam, Jae, and Jacob watch and discuss... the live-action Fullmetal Alchemist movie... yay...

Spooktober comes to a close as we culminate with this final horror comic of the Halloween season. Kirie's life was completely normal, loving family, plenty of friends, and even a spooky goth bf who is definitely not a Junji Ito self-insert. However, things begin to go wrong as her boyfriend's (Shuichi) father begins to delve into a new obsession, from which all things begin to spiral out of control. A whirling force of horror sucks the town in, with those involved finding themselves unaware until its too late. This week, Matt, Sam, Jae, and Jacob read and discuss Uzumaki by Junji Ito.

Spooktober continues as we delve into Season 1 the Webtoon horror sensation Everything is Fine. Except it isn't. Maggie has grown disillusioned with her mundane life as a suburban housewife, with her husband Sam seemingly oblivious to her frustrations. However, the all-seeing eye of big brother constantly watching adds an unrelenting sense of tension that lives just below the surface. This week, Matt, Sam, Jae, and Jacob read and discuss Everything is Fine by Mike Birchall.

Spooktober rears its head around the OverMangaCast crew with this week's read. Fran is just some poor Frankenstein's monster girl , gifted with an ungodly skill in all things surgical. With her specialty in reanimation, Fran takes on all tasks, giving people their utmost heart's desire. However, sometimes she dabbles in things not meant for man, and terrible karmic fates befall her patients. And sometimes she makes dogs. This week, Matt, Sam, Jae, and Jacob read and discuss Franken Fran by Katsuhisa Kigitsu.

Metroid: Dread eve is here, but the crew can't sleep so they crack open an old story to make it through the night. The origin of Metroid's protagonist, Samus Aran, never before told. From her traumatic childhood all the way up to her Zero Mission, this manga shows the life and times of the normally silent bounty hunter as she trained with the Chozo. Except Ridley, he talks a lot. Mostly about eating people. And being a jerk. This week, Matt, Sam, and Jacob read and discuss Metroid by Kenji Ishikawa.

Edo-era was Japan was a peaceful quiet place; then the aliens invaded. Now its basically modern day Japan, definitely no metaphors there. Gin is a slacker freelancer who has given up fighting for the freedom of his country, and just wants to live a simple life helping people where he can. But mostly its an absurdist comedy where wacky hi-jinks are behind every corner. This week, Matt, Sam, Jae, and Jacob read and discuss Gin Tama by Hideaki Sorachi.
