We are often enamored by large donations to churches and institutions. Jesus was not. At least not if the person making the donation was doing it for show. He was more impressed by the size of the sacrifice than the size of the gift. In week two of the All In Initiative, we will look at what Jesus has to say about a widow who honored God with her last two pennies and what do we mean when we say, "not equal gifts, but equal sacrifice".

What is "All In"? It's shorthand for our All In Stewardship Initiative. With this initiative, we will be laying out the vision for everything that will come with our new property. Matthew 28:1-10

Perhaps the most often used word on the first Easter morning was the word fear. The soldiers guarding the tomb were afraid, the women were afraid, the angels said to not be afraid. Even Jesus shows up and says "fear not". What was it about that first Easter morning that instilled so much fear? Was it all the same kind of fear? How should we respond to the Resurrection of Jesus nearly 2,000 years later? This Resurrection has been called the hinge of history. Join us on Sunday to celebrate the event that changed everything and find out why we should stand in awe of it today.

One week before Jesus was raised from the dead he rode into Jerusalem being hailed as the King. The only trouble was, Jesus wasn't the King the people expected. Instead of a triumphant King coming on a horse ready for battle, he came riding on a donkey in the name of peace. He didn't come to free his people from slavery to men, but to free his people from slavery to sin.

So far in the Book of Acts, it would be easy to get the impression that everything was awesome. But anytime you get people together, especially from differing backgrounds, there is bound to be conflict. We see that this week when we explore Acts 6:1-7. What we also will see is the beautiful way the early church dealt with this, along with stunning parallels in today's world.
