Joe Ovies and Joe Giglio open the show welcoming everyone to the start of the college basketball season. While the vibes going into the 2024-2025 season are positive, we can't truly transition to hoops now that North Carolina and NC State have seemingly put themselves in position to finish strong leading into their regular season finale. The question Wolfpack fans have? Where the hell has that offense been all season? Meanwhile, the ACC College Football Playoff math took a hit with Clemson's loss to Louisville. Can SMU be considered as the 2nd CFP team? And what does that say about the ACC? Over to the NFL, where the Carolina Panthers notched their first win in Charlotte in 322 days. After Bryce Young had his best NFL game to date, will Dave Canales go back to him versus the Giants? Back in Raleigh, the Canes remain one of the hottest teams in the NHL. The reason? Marty Necas has stepped up to be that dude.

Lauren Brownlow and Joe Ovies are back in the ACC Panic Room. They open things up discussing College Football Playoff implications from Clemson's loss at home to Louisville and SMU beating Pitt (00:30). Meanwhile, in the Triangle, North Carolina continues their post open date turnaround with another win over an elusive conference opponent (10:30). While there is a discussion about how bad things have gone for Florida State, there is a discussion about how UNC can close out the season on a high note for Mack Brown. Over to NC State, where the Pack dropped a bunch of points on an FBS opponent for the first time since 2021. However, it's hard not to think about future NIL discussions about CJ Bailey already (21:00). They close things with Duke's loss at Miami, where the Blue Devils managed to prove people wrong and Vegas right at the same time (28:00).

NC State, North Carolina and Duke are back on the football field for their final stretches. While the Blue Devils still have a chance to build on their successful season, the Wolfpack and Tar Heels are trying to salvage what's left. In the NFL, everyone finally seems to be over the Jets and the Cowboys...so who should everyone be talking about? Over to the World Series, where the New York Yankees melted down to the Los Angeles Dodgers.

Joe Ovies and Joe Giglio open the show welcoming Mike Kaye, Carolina Panthers beat reporter for the Charlotte Observer, to go over why the return for Diontae Johnson was so weak in what has been a hot wide receiver market ahead of the NFL trade deadline. In the Lightning Round, it was nice to see Yankees fans step up to be the main characters again in the World Series. CBS Sports college basketball insider Matt Norlander joined Ovies and Giglio to discuss real expectations out of Duke and Cooper Flagg. Plus, how North Carolina can steal the spotlight and revisiting Tony Bennett's sudden retirement from Virginia.

Joe Ovies and Joe Giglio open the show with the World Series, which has not been a battle of titans thanks to Aaron Judge and the New York Yankees fizzling out. That expands into a larger conversation about baseball becoming a regional sport and how the New York City media no longer dictates what fans are talking about. Moving on to the NFL, where the Carolina Panthers look to be sellers at the trade deadline. CBS Sports' Will Brinson also floats the possibility of Dave Canales being on the hot seat. To the NHL, where the Carolina Hurricanes were spectacular during their traditional NC State Fair road trip. N&O columnist Luke DeCock helps break down what's been going right and what could potentially be an issue for the Canes.

Joe Ovies and Joe Giglio open the show lamenting the fact they had to seriously watch the Carolina Panthers because Bryce Young started. What did they learn? There's zero confidence around the QB. Only one thing remains true about the Panthers -- Sean Payton loves to troll his old NFC South rival. Over to college football, where Duke made the worst kind of history in their loss to SMU. The Blue Devils will see Miami next, which is a very winnable game given the Hurricanes keep playing with their food. Mario Cristobal dropped some recruiting bars after the Canes beat FSU, but so did Mike Elko. Giglio has a message for Texas A&M fans though. Over to Chapel Hill, where the Tar Heels potentially reset their season with a win over Virginia. In the NFL Lightning Round, Ovies takes a victory lap over Aaron Rodgers before whipping around the league.

Joe Ovies and Demetri Ravanos welcome you to "OG on Business", an every other week look at the sports media business. ESPN is taking College GameDay to Indiana. While Ovies thinks the destination tracks with the show's typical October curveballs, Demetri is convinced it's all part of a Lee Corso official retirement soft launch. Speaking of ESPN, what is their role in the success or demise of "Project Rudy"? Disney and FOX essentially have a duopoly when it comes to college football broadcasting, so where would the push really come from to adopt the proposals of this college football super league idea? Joe and Demetri close the podcast with quick thoughts on Tom Brady's ownership role impacting his role at FOX and how a certain demographic of ex-ESPN personality goes the 'cancel culture' route after they leave Bristol.
