Some time back, the Coast to Coast took a bit of a different format, allowing recruiting beat vets Sherrell McMillan and Rob Harrington to tell some stories from their time covering high school prospects. The episode was widely well-received, so we opted to take another bite at the apple. This time, the guys take a look back at stories they couldn't tell, missteps in a big recruitment, hypothetical Tar Heels, and so much more.

Building off of Monday's Daily, Inside Carolina senior reporter Greg Barnes joins Tommy Ashley to discuss North Carolina's matchup with Pittsburgh and the challenges Pat Narduzzi's defense will present for a UNC team unable to unlock the deep passing game so far this season.

Billy Edwards has struggled ten yards beyond the line of scrimmage this season and the lack of a bonafide deep threat opposite Jordan Shipp has resulted in Bobby Petrino leaning on his tight ends through the air. Barnes and Ashley outline what the Panthers generally try to do on defense while describing this game as a battle of the quarterbacks - Edwards for UNC and Holden Geriner for Pittsburgh. Geriner steps in for the injured Mason Heintschel for the 5-0 Panthers.

nside Carolina senior reporter Greg Barnes joins Tommy Ashley to discuss North Carolina's challenge to find consistency on the field - especially on offense - as three season defining games await the Tar Heels.

Billy Edwards, Jr. spoke to the media on Monday about his struggles with consistency and how the offense as a whole follows suit - Carolina have three long drives against Notre Dame including a 15 play 97 yarder to score at the end of the first half - but could do nothing the rest of the game as the Irish wore down Bill Belichick's defense in the 37-26 win.

Barnes and Ashley highlight the wide receiver room as well with only three players having the trust necessary to play for Belichick and staff.

North Carolina's 2026 baseball season ended on the last possible day in Omaha and while the ending was not what UNC fans wanted, the experiences gained from those players that return in 2027 cannot be measured.

Inside Carolina's Tommy Ashley and Spencer Haskell sat down with junior pitcher Walker McDuffie for a lengthy interview that covered all the bases for the right-hander, from what he hopes to improve on entering his third year at UNC, to the competition among this year's pitching staff.

Inside Carolina's Buck Sanders and Jason Staples join Tommy Ashley to break down North Carolina's loss to Notre Dame on Saturday in Kenan Stadium.  Billy Edwards and the UNC offense put together three impressive drives over the course of the day and a Jaiden Jefferson kickoff return to open the second half got the Heels to within 21-20, but it was the Notre Dame talent, depth and physicality in the third quarter that would not allow Carolina any closer before ultimately winning 37-26.

Staples and Sanders highlight the positives from the rain soaked contest with an emphasis on the play of Edwards and on the flip side, the clear shortcomings the Heels face on the defensive side of the ball when faced with an offense of the caliber of Marcus Freeman's national title contender team.

Inside Carolina's Greg Barnes and Jason Staples join Tommy Ashley for a complete breakdown of North Carolina's high noon Saturday matchup with Notre Dame. Staples and Barnes highlight both the Tar Heels defense and offense against the Fighting Irish with the tall tasks both sides of the ball will face in Kenan Stadium on October 3rd.

The IC trio points to the Carolina defensive line as a key to stopping an Irish offense led by quarterback CJ Carr while all eyes will be on UNC's quarterback Billy Edwards against a stout Notre Dame defense. Will Bill Belichick and Bobby Petrino switch up the offensive approach with a quarterback shuffle?  Can the Heels run the ball effectively enough to slow the game and stay close late?

Finally, score predictions from the crew close the show.
