Inside Carolina's senior reporter Greg Barnes joins Tommy Ashley to discuss the challenge ahead for Coach Hubert Davis and the North Carolina basketball team. UNC faces it's toughest stretch of games without Caleb Wilson. Wilson's fractured hand will keep the all-everything freshman sidelined for an undeterminant amount of time. Carolina hosts Pittsburgh on Saturday and travels to NC State on Tuesday.

The Heels currently slot as a five seed in NCAA Tournament projections after facing the easier portion of the schedule. Inside Carolina's Sherrell McMillan joins Tommy Ashley to discuss the massive news that North Carolina's all-everything freshman Caleb Wilson is out indefinitely after testing determined a fracture in his left hand. Wilson injured the hand at Miami on Tuesday night and according to a UNC Communications release, initial x-rays did not reveal the break. Further imaging in Chapel Hill this week revealed the bad news.

McMillan and Ashley discuss the impact of Wilson's absence on Hubert Davis's team and how the Tar Heels can handle the situation with Wilson's availability for the rest of the season in doubt.

North Carolina's baseball season opens on Friday with Indiana coming to Boshamer Stadium for a three game series - the first time the Tar Heels and Hoosiers have met on the diamond. Inside Carolina's Grace Nugent and Tommy Ashley spoke with UNC head coach Scott Forbes to discuss opening day and the lead up to the 2026 season.

Forbes breaks down his process on lineup and pitching rotation decisions as well as the impact matchups have on those decisions, especially regarding certain positions on the field and in the rotation. Finally, Forbes shares his memories of great moments in Carolina Baseball history, reliving the Chad Flack walkoff down in Alabama and Vance Honeycutt's shot that beat West Virginia in Boshamer two years ago.

Inside Carolina's Rob Harrington joins Tommy Ashley to break down the bad performance put on by North Carolina down in Miami on Tuesday night. Carolina lost 75-66 to an inspired Hurricanes team that dominated the Tar Heels on the boards and in the paint and erased any good momentum Hubert Davis's team had after being rival Duke on Saturday. Harrington and Ashley discuss the poor start and the brutally bad shooting performances by UNC's guards - Derek Dixon and Seth Trimble. Caleb Wilson and Henri Veesaar could not carry the load against the Miami bigs, combining for just 23 points and 12 rebounds on the game.
