Owen Hanson was sentenced to 21 years in U.S. federal prison and ordered to forfeit approximately $20 million in cash, luxury vehicles, real estate in Costa Rica, Peru, and Cabo San Lucas, and valuable assets including gold, silver coins, and a sailboat. Hanson confirmed the federal authorities seized whatever assets they could during the investigation.
