Owls Extra

This week we're joined by TalkRadio and The Wanderer Podcast host, Darryl Morris who gave us the lowdown on Bolton Wanderers ahead of this weekends game at Hillsborough. We spoke at length about the style of play that Ian Evatt likes to play and it's evident that we're going to have a good game on our hands. Bolton currently lie just outside of the play-off positions in 7th, three points ahead of us. A win for the Owls could see them leapfrog their opponents depending on goal difference.

Listen to the episode to find all about the Wanderers form, their key players, and of course... Kieron Lee.

Enjoy.

A double game week started with a 2-1 win against table toppers Wigan, but ended in a lacklustre performance against Oxford United which saw us lose our unbeaten home record as we succumbed to a 2-1 defeat with an injury time goal.

This week we were joined by another former Owl in Reda Johnson who gave his thoughts on the season so far and how he believes that the fans need to give Darren Moore time and the results will come.

Off the back of a 2-1 win at the league leaders Wigan, we go straight into a home tie against Oxford United, a side that reached the play-offs last season, only to be knocked out in the semi-finals by eventual winners, Blackpool.

We spoke to Simon from The Fence End Podcast about all things Oxford, their current form, their style of play, and who their danger men are.

We've had former managers. We've had former players. But this is the first former chairman that we've been able to speak to. Lee Strafford didn't spend a great deal of time at the helm of Sheffield Wednesday but he certainly found out a lot. Mainly about how the club was mis-managed. Listen as he talks about his time as Chairman between 2009 and 2010.

Another week. another mistake from Peacock-Farrell, another 2 points dropped, and another drab performance if we're being brutally honest. James and Giles discuss the 1-1 draw away to Ipswich Town, a game where a comical mistake in the dying moments of the game threw away the chance of the Owls first win in 4 games.

We also discuss whether Darren Moore is right to make as many changes to the starting line-up as he does and at what point we're going to be start panicking as we face Wigan away on Tuesday, another tough game.

Enjoy.

We're joined this week by former Northern Ireland international and 2005 Play-off Final winner, Chris Brunt. Chris shares what it was like to be part of that side which gave such great memories for us wednesdayites as well as reminiscing some of his goals which, to be honest, none of them were tap ins where they?

We walk away with a point but it felt like a defeat. Shrewsbury were there for the taking and truth be told, the game should have been dead and buried by half time. It wasn't and James and Jamie don't hold back and tell it how it is.

Enjoy.

De de de de. Deon Burton. Yes, we finally managed to speak to the former Jamaican international and the other half of a great partnership that we had at the time with Marcus Tudgay. Enjoy.

600 mile round trip and nothing to show for it. That's two games, two away days, and two defeats as the Owls were swept aside by a Plymouth side that fully deserved the 3-0 victory. James, Jamie and Giles look at what went wrong and what needs to change...and fast, if we're going to be mounting a challenge and to gain promotion this season.

Enjoy.

No league game this weekend due to international call-ups (mainly for Sunderland) but we did have a game in mid-week to talk about in the pizza cup. We also talk to Alex Hunt about the absolute worldly that he scored in injury infront of the Grimsby fans at the weekend in a 4-3 thriller... as well as listening to all the superlatives that Cokey could throw at him. Not only that but we were also joined by fans Paul and Gem who joined in with the discussions.

Enjoy.
