Eureka Springs School of the Arts traditionally holds summer art classes on its woodland campus perched above the White River Valley. But this season, says Executive Director Kelly McDonough, while many classes have been delayed due to the coronavirus pandemic, some summer workshops are being taught by art teachers via live video conferencing.

Governor Asa Hutchinson held his daily coronavirus response briefing from Jonesboro where he reported 97 additional cases of COVID-19 in the last 24 hours out of more than 4,000 tests, which is the smallest case increase in several days. Advanced Placement tests are exams offered in the U.S. by the College Board that give high school students the opportunity to earn college credit. Over Memorial Day weekend, the Arkansas Coalition of Marshallese teamed up with the Arkansas Department of Health Northwest and Joseph Bates Outreach Clinic in Springdale to mass test over 200 residents for COVID-19. Despite the coronavirus pandemic, Arkansas paid tribute to members of the military who died in the line of duty. On Monday, Governor Asa Hutchinson spoke at a Memorial Day service at the Arkansas State Veterans Cemetery in North Little Rock. The ceremony was not open to the public and was instead streamed online.
