Today on the 5: I'll be honest, I struggled on coming up with a good topic for today's 5. I had just about given up when it occurred to me that just wishing everybody a nice holiday isn't such a bad idea!

Today on the 5: When Elon Musk banned the ElonJet account from Twitter, the criticisms were numerous and loud. Those reactions seem largely based on his past statements and general dislikability as opposed to actual merit.

Today on the 5: Many people have complained about how often Elon Musk tweets and some of what he posts. Regardless of how you feel about the person or his management, this level of transparency from someone at his level is fairly unique.

Today on the 5: Over the weekend I watched Silent Night Deadly Night 5. While I may not agree with others about it being a misunderstood classic, I still had a great time with it.

Today on the 5: Back in July I reviewed Annihilation, the first novel in the Southern Reach Trilogy. I've now finished the other two books, and I have a bit of a unique review of the trilogy.

Today on the 5: Over the weekend my wife and I finished the fifth season of Cobra Kai, the popular sequel series to the Karate Kid films. The season itself was pretty good, but there is one thing that it left me wondering about.

Today on the 5: Last week Shudder released a new original horror film titled Christmas Bloody Christmas. The reviews have been generally pretty good, so I decided to watch it and see what I thought. I loved it!

Today on the 5: I was wandering through some lists of 80s movies and came across one from 1987 titled The Believers. This is one I know I saw a long time ago, but I doubt I appreciated it as much then as I do now.
