Today on the 5: I just finished reading Annihilation: A Novel, the first book in the Southern Reach trilogy. This is a rare case where I saw the movie before reading the book, but that strangely had no influence on how the book worked for me.

Today on the 5: Over the weekend I watched a movie called Aniara that will be a tricky movie for me to review. On the one hand, I found it to be a well made and effective film. On the other, it is extraordinarily depressing.

Today on the 5: Over the weekend I took the time to watch a fan edit of the Obi-Wan Kenobi series called Obi-Wan Kenobi The Movie: Episode III.V. I was curious to see if this edit could manage to improve what has sounded like a pretty bloated and uneven series. Once again, my faith in fan editors was rewarded!

Today on the 5: As part of the horror Tubi Tournament series, I watched a 1971 film titled The Shiver Of The Vampires. I'm not sure it should be classified it as a horror film, but it certainly was captivating!
