Today on the 5: Over the weekend my wife and I saw Knives Out. It's a really enjoyable mystery thriller that has great performances and a well constructed puzzle to try figuring out.

I recently got around to watching a well known silent film from 1920 called The Golem: How He Came Into The World. It's a wonderful example of how purely visual filmmaking worked before CGI and advanced sound design.

Today on the 5: A number of articles have appeared criticizing the Ring video doorbell and the very cozy relationship the company is taking with customer data and law enforcement. While that is a problem, the larger concern is why any company can have this type of relationship.

Today on the 5: Many of the reviews and commentary on Death Stranding mention that it's a game that shouldn't get a sequel. While I somewhat understand that based on how other IPs handle sequels, I would be all for getting more of this world.

Today on the 5: I am watching the one Apple TV+ series that genuinely interested me, For All Mankind. This is an alternate history series about the USA/USSR space race, and so far it's pretty good.

Today on the 5: Ubisoft recently published the results of a survey issued to players of Ghost Recon Breakpoint. the survey identifies a number of issues players want to see resolved, and too their credit Ubisoft appears to be trying to fix most of them.
