Today on the 5: I came across a Swedish horror movie from 2018 titled Black Circle. I couldn't find any way to watch it other than buying it, so I decided to roll the dice on it. It ended up being a really great film.

Today on the 5: I've been watching a number of John Carpenter films pretty closey together to prep for some upcoming shows. As a result, I've noticed something about his movies that I never quite picked up on before.

Today on the 5: My wife and I are midway through watching the latest season of What We Do In  The Shadows. Having rewatched all the previous seasons before starting the current one, I've picked up on a change in how the show feels. 

Today on the 5: Many years after release and thanks to a great System Shock review I watched, I finally got around to playing 2017's Prey. I just finished it, and it was a truly fantastic experience. If you passed this one by like I did and you enjoy a game where your chocies matter, go play it!

Today on the 5: I watched a selection from my long list of pending films titled The Asphyx. It's a magnificent example of classic gothic horror, and I can't recommend it highly enough.

Today on the 5: I came across an article on Wired talking about distrust of the US Congress and the possible impact of generative AI on that distrust. The real problem is that these generative tools aren't causing distrust, they're just magnifying what's already there.

Today on the 5: You probably saw or heard something about the the Starlink network access story involving the war  in Ukraine. Regardless of the details of what happened, I'm happy to see a lot of people zeroing in on the truly concering aspect of the story.

Today on the 5: Roejen from Project Archivist alerted me to an early Andy Sidaris movie from 1979 titled Seven. I immediately watched it, and it might be the best movie Sidaris ever made!
