Today on the 5: I had no real intention to watch The Flash, which felt like a movie without a purpose after the dismantling of the Snyderverse. An opportunity came up to see it, though, so I figured why not. The result was a film that was simultaneously interesting and frustrating.

Today on the 5: It occurred to me today that I haven't talked much about season 2 of Star Trek: Strange New Worlds, and we're just past the halfway point of the season! Time to correct that, because just like the first season I'm having a great time with this show!

Today on the 5: Recent comments from one of the voice actors from Star Wars Rebels makes it sound like watching that show is pretty important to the new series. If that's true, it's yet another disappointing example of companies creating highly codependent narratives in a way that makes me want to skip them altogether.

Today on the 5: I decided to take a break from movies that were deeply philosophical and open to interpretation and go for something more purely fun. I took a chance on Transformers: Rise Of The Beasts, and it turned out to be really entertaining!

Today on the 5: After watching Golem and enjoying it immensely, I immediately jumped into The War Of The Worlds: Next Century. As I expected, it was just as visually interesting and full of poltical themes as the previous film was.
