We read and discuss comments from fans in 1986—published in Interstat, a monthly Star Trek letterzine devoted to fan comment, analysis, and reaction that was published by Teri Meyer, Mary Buser, and Ann Crouch from November 1977 to March 1991. We also discuss comments shared with us today by fans who remember the reveal of Star Trek: The Next Generation.
