Do you have someone in your life that you know all they have to do is say the word and you know that it will get done. Maybe you’re in a position of authority and all you have to do is say the word and things get done. That is where we pick up today…a Centurion sends people to Jesus on behalf of his servant who is not well. This story is riddled with humility and faith…to the point where it even amazes Jesus. Matthew 8:1-3…When Jesus came down from the mountainside, large crowds followed him.  A man with leprosy came and knelt before him and said, “Lord, if you are willing, you can make me clean.” Jesus reached out his hand and touched the man. “I am willing,” he said. “Be clean!” Immediately he was cleansed of his leprosy.  Join me today as we take a look at a great example of how to approach the throne of Christ with confidence and humility.

As we pick up again with the miracles of Jesus we come to the miracle of the first great catch of fish that Jesus did from Peter’s boat just before calling Peter to follow Him. This is a really cool story that has some great teaching points tucked into it. Join me today as we close out our series on Elijah. He was definitely a mighty prophet of God who did some amazing things in God's name...but he was also flawed and made many mistakes. Yet, God is gentle with him and full of mercy and compassion. Even though Elijah messed up God still used him...giving us hope and reminding us that God isn't through with us just because we mess up. Elijah's work that extended over the reign of 3 kings  comes to an end as he passes the mantle to Elisha. Signaling he end of an Era.

We all mess up at some point and it is so important to just admit it.
