Today, we take a look at the man behind the woman who risked everything to save her people. This man is a man of conviction, unwavering faith, and compassion not only for Esther, but also for his people. He won’t give an inch, as he refuses to bow in worship of Haman, the king’s right hand man, and almost gets executed for it. Who is this man? His name is Mordecai. Join me today as we look at the power of an unwavering faith.

Today, I want to take a look at a king who is…“Unlike All The Others”. During the time of the kings of Israel and Judah, there was not many that sought to serve God and follow His ways. We know that David was said to be a man after God’s own heart. He is regarded as the greatest king Israel ever had. But there is another king, a king unlike the others, one who sought to do right in the eyes of the Lord. The vast majority of the kings of Israel and Judah were wicked and did evil in the sight of the Lord, but not Josiah. 2 Kings 22:2…2 He did what was right in the eyes of the Lord and followed completely the ways of his father David, not turning aside to the right or to the left.

Today, we are going to take a look at a man that is only mentioned briefly, but his heartfelt prayer to God became famous thousands of years later. If the Bible were a movie this guy would be one of the many additional actors that just happens to get one line in a not so interesting scene in the movie. His claim to fame is found tucked away in a genealogy mentioned in 1 Chronicles 4:9-10. However, this man of honor, whom the Bible refers to as more honorable than his brothers, gets one opportunity…one shot…and boy does he make it count. The only words of his recorded would later become known as the Prayer of Jabez.

Today, we are going to begin a series looking at some interesting characters in the Bible that are often overlooked or not given much attention. The first up is a guy by the name of Naaman. He was Commander of the Army of the King of Aram, and he has leprosy. This is an interesting story about a guy who goes to see the prophet Elisha, who he is told could help him, only to get frustrated with what is asked of him. When Naaman hears what he has to do to be healed, he gets angry because it is not what he expected. It is not how he envisioned it.

Today, I want to take a look at the next miracle of Jesus. Matthew doesn’t record much regarding this miracle, but he does record 2 opposing views. One view of the miracle comes from the people in the crowd. They are filled with awe and wonder…they are amazed by Jesus saying, “Nothing like this has ever been seen in Israel”. Then you have the Pharisees who are the religious leaders in Israel. You would think they would be the most excited about seeing the power of God in their nation. Instead, they accuse Jesus of getting His power from Satan.

Today we are going to take a look at the next miracle of Jesus in our line up which is only found in the Gospel of Matthew. It is a very short passage with minimal details, but there is one thing that I want to pull out of it, that I feel is so important to understand. Jesus was on His way out of the area of Capernaum when He was approached by 2 blind men. These men pursued Him because they believed that Jesus could restore their sight…and what He says to them can’t be passed over or taken lightly. It is crucial to understanding how the power of God works in our lives.

In today’s episode we take a look at the miracle story that was interrupted by the miracle we discussed yesterday. Jesus was on His way to Jairus’ house when He was interrupted by the woman who touched his cloak and was healed from her suffering. After addressing the woman Jesus continues on to the house of Jairus to tend to a 12 year old girl who had just died. There were some negative people around Jairus but Jesus shows him why we need to ignore some people and just believe!

Today’s message takes us to a miracle found in the midst of another miracle. Jesus is already on His way to perform a miracle when this miracle happens. It is a message inside of a message…and it is about a woman who was desparate and out of options. Isn’t that where we often find ourselves before realizing that Jesus is our only option and the only one we need for that matter. God will sometimes let us exhaust all options and reach a point of desperation so that we can see that our only option should have been our first choice.

In today’s episode, titled “Bad for Business”, we see Jesus give the people a choice…love Him or their wealth. Jesus goes into gentile country and shows them the saving and transformative power of God, and they ask Him to leave. Why? They were afraid of Him and the power He possessed…and He was bad for business as you will see shortly. When we fail to see Jesus for who He is we often miss the lesson He is trying to teach. So let’s jump into the miracle Jesus performed when He cast out the Legion of demons into the herd of pigs.

Today, we are going to dive into the power of forgiveness, and using forgiveness to break the enemy’s strongholds. When someone offends you or wrongs you, it can create a sea of emotions that can have a devastating effect on your life. It can even spill over into the lives of those around you. Feelings of anger, hatred, vengeance, spite, malice, bitterness, etc. can wreak havoc on your life and definitely steal your joy. When you are reluctant to forgive it is like an open wound that festers. In the end a little wound left untreated can have deadly consequences. Likewise, refusing to forgive will cause you to rot spiritually…it will have a devastating impact on your walk with God.
