In this episode of Pacers Pulse, I break down the tough 130–107 loss for the Indiana Pacers against the Los Angeles Clippers. Indiana struggled defensively all night, gave up 130 points, lost the rebounding battle 47–38, and allowed the Clippers to dominate inside with 66 points in the paint.
Despite the loss, Pascal Siakam delivered a strong offensive performance with 29 points on 8–14 shooting, continuing to be the Pacers’ most reliable scorer. I also discuss solid performances from Jay Huff, who added 18 points and four three-pointers, and Jarace Walker, who contributed an all-around stat line with 17 points, 5 rebounds, and 5 assists.
One of the biggest storylines of the night was the revenge performance from former Pacer Bennedict Mathurin, who dominated in limited minutes with 23 points on 8–11 shooting, making a huge impact for Los Angeles.
I also dive into a bigger question facing Indiana moving forward:
Are the Pacers missing a true bench scorer now that Mathurin is gone?
In the second half of the episode, I discuss potential offseason targets that could help solve that problem.
