Our latest episode providing you with a bite-size summary of the day's action in the NFL, for those of you who missed it whilst at work (Aus/NZ/Asia) or overnight (Europe/UK/Africa).
In this second part, we’ll review the remaining 4 divisions, the AFC West & South, and the NFC North & South.
In the AFC West, Kansas City had a surprise opportunity to lock in the no. 1 AFC seeding during Saturday play in Las Vegas, whilst the Chargers would have a decision to make regarding their match in Denver given that earlier results meant their position couldn’t change.
In the NFC North, earlier results meant that only Green Bay could go from SNF to the play-offs, with Seattle’s win meaning Detroit were eliminated from contention. But did that mean there was nothing for the Lions to play for?
In the AFC South, it all came down to one game between the Titans and Jaguars for the division and the no. 4 seeding, whilst Houston’s outcome vs the Colts would determine whether they held the no. 1 or no. 2 draft pick.
In the NFC South, division titles, seedings and draft positions were already sorted, but a number of players and coaches were auditioning for their futures.

Our latest episode providing you with a bite-size summary of the day's action in the NFL, for those of you who missed it whilst at work (Aus/NZ/Asia) or overnight (Europe/UK/Africa).
In this first part, we’ll review the 4 divisions with the most on the line, the AFC East & North, and the NFC East & West.
In the AFC East, Buffalo needed a win to secure a top 2 seed, which would be enough to also ensure they did not play an away match during the play-offs (which will be explained during the show). Meanwhile, Miami and New England were both vying with Pittsburgh for the final play-off spot, the no. 7 seeding.
In the NFC East, the Philadelphia Eagles needed to win, otherwise Dallas would be waiting in the wings to steal both the division and the no. 1 overall seeding in the NFC.
In the AFC North, Cincinnati and Buffalo were fighting out for the divisional title and a potential home wild-card match, whilst Pittsburgh still had a chance to keep their own season alive.
In the NFC West, Seattle needed to beat the Rams and get some help (from Detroit) to fight their way into the play-offs, whilst San Francisco needed a win over Arizona to sew up their no. 2 seeding in the NFC.

This week’s matches were headlined by the big NFC East stoush between Dallas and Philadelphia, with the Cowboys inflicting Philly’s second loss of the season and squaring the ledger, keeping the divisional race alive in the process.
San Francisco, Minnesota, Kansas City, Cincinnati and Tampa Bay all strengthened their holds on divisional races and/or conference seedings, whilst Jacksonville formally supplanted Tennessee in the AFC South.
The main movers in wildcard races were Green Bay and Baltimore.

SEGMENTS:
Two amazing finishes on the West Coast, with the Chargers producing last minute heroics to get the win at home to the Titans, whilst simultaneously the Patriots attempted a spectacular hook-and-ladder type play when they didn’t need to and the Raiders read it brilliantly to steal the game with a defensive TD.
Philadelphia and Kansas City copped massive scares on the road (at Chicago and Houston respectively) whilst Dallas did come unstuck on the road at Jacksonville. Meanwhile Cincinnati solidified their position in the AFC North and Detroit and Washington enhanced their credentials for wild-card places.
