In this weeks episode Tanner discusses the team's trip into Gifford Pinchot National Forest with The Oregonian Newspaper on June 14th through June 16th of 2024.
Tanner also shares the great news that Pacific Northwest Missing Persons Project is officially a Public Benefit Nonprofit organization according to the State of Oregon. One step closer to becoming a nationally recognized 501(C)(3).

The stories today are about:
Two hunters:
- James Schroeder, a 22 year old Male, vanished from the Fenn Mountain area of Idaho County, Idaho in September of 1982 while elk hunting. 

- Connie Johnson, a 76 year old female, vanished from Idaho County, Idaho while operating as a camp cook on October 5th, 2018.

One Film Producer: 
- Terrance Woods, a 26 year old male, inexplicably ran away from a filming site into the forest on October 5th, 2018 (the same day Connie Johnson was discovered missing) and has never been seen again.

These cases are truly baffling and require further investigation.

In today's episode of Pacific Northwest Missing Persons Project (PNWMPP) Tanner Hoskins, Executive Director of PNWMPP covers the amazing news of PNWMPP becoming a nonprofit entity in the State of Oregon and awaiting tax-exemption status from the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) to become a nationally recognized 501(C)(3).

Tanner also discusses the disappearance of Gail Wietrick, a 60 year old female from Trout Lake, Washington that vanished while mushroom picking near the Little Rock Creek Road in the small town of Mill A, Washington just south of Willard, Washington and just east of Carson, Washington.

In this episode, Tanner talks about the mystery unfolding in Josephine County, Oregon where a backpack containing multiple days worth of camping gear was located along with a dog leash, but neither an individual nor their canine companion have been located.

Tanner also discusses the strange disappearance of Michael Bryson, a 27 year old male that vanished while at a rave-type party at the Hobo Camp Campground in the Umpqua National Forest of Oregon.

Joel Presler, a 37 year old male from Vancouver, Washington set out on an elk hunting trip on November 11th, 2017 in the area of Forlorn Lakes, Washington.
Joel was an experienced outdoorsman and knew the Forlorn Lakes area exceptionally well. 
Something happened to him between November 11th, 2017 and the day his body was recovered on November 24th, 2017, less than 200 yards from where his pickup was located by Search and Rescue on November 16th.

This is one story that only adds to questions our team has involving this majestic and mysterious portion of Washington State.

Buckle up, there's a lot of information to dissect in this episode. 
From what our team did in the Molalla River Recreation Corridor searching for Don Parkins to reports of UAPs and UFOs seen in an area where an Iowa trucker, David Schultz, vanished in November of 2023. 

While we usually refrain from discussing theories in this podcast the disappearance and eventual locating of David Schultz remains, it's hard to not think that something else is at play in these disappearances.

Last Seen: Walking on Comet Falls Trail, 3.3 miles from Longmire parking lot.
Description:

This disappearance of Kristopher "Kris" Zitzewitz, a spelunker who disappeared while cave diving in the Big Lava Beds of the Gifford Pinchot National Forest in southwest Washington State.
More than 100 Search and Rescue personnel descended into the area, and after an extensive 10 day search, nothing of Kris's was ever found.

Gilbert “Gil” Gilman, a 47 year old Caucasian male.
Height: 5 foot 7 inches
Weight: 160 pounds
Hair: Gray/Brown
Eyes: Brown

Gil was a former paratrooper and military interrogator, having served in Iraq in counter-terrorism and counter-intelligence for the United States.
Gil departed for a 2.1 mile hike in the Olympic National Park of Washington State on June 24th, 2006 and was never seen again.

Gil was wearing  light clothing; a bright green and blue Hawaiian shirt, khaki pants or shorts, sandals, sunglasses (that are prescription glasses) and had no backpack with him.

Laura Macke, a 35 year old female, set out on an approximately 12.7 mile hike from the Graves Creek Campground and Trailhead to the Enchanted Valley inside the Daniel J. Evans Wilderness in the Olympic National Forest of Washington State. 
A torrential downpour inundated the area soon after Laura began her trek and she was never seen or heard from again. 

If you know anything about Laura's disappearance please contact the Clallam County Sheriff's Office or National Forest Service. 
Please keep Laura and her family in your thoughts, and as always, if you find yourself in the Daniel J. Evans Wilderness, please remain vigilant. You never know when you may come across something that brings answers or closure to a grieving family.
