Then, we get heavy with rockers Redwoods as they reign in the second half of our show with some catchy acoustic numbers and a chat about their latest EP "Study Night".

On this special Canada Day broadcast, James and Travis are joined by Locals Lounge host, loop artist, and friend of the show Ian Cromwell to discuss his story gigging around the Vancouver music scene, new recorded material, and what the future has in store for Locals Lounge. Then, alternative pop rockers Kubla Khan discuss their latest record and premiere some new songs exclusively on Pacific Sound Radio.

Episode 28 is here and features some highlights from the latest Locals Lounge event. Catch host Ian Cromwell and jazz/soul vocalist Krystle Dos Santos who took centre stage and brought the house down! Then, we switch gears and get down with indie folk rock unit Echo Nebraska as they discuss the process behind their new record "Hold Up To The Fire".

Since we're already halfway through the year on this episode we decided to reflect on some of our favourite local releases from 2018 so far. Our producer Jaeden joins us for a gleefully chaotic run through of Travis' and James' picks from some extremely talented Vancouver-based bands and artists. Then, get lost in a hypnotic trance as Highland Eyeway chat about their upcoming LP and put on a unique live performance.

Episode 24 sees hosts James and Travis talking with multi-instrumentalist Graham Gomez about teaching guitar, music production, and his experience playing with the folk-rock group Good For Grapes. Then feature guests Troy Gilmour and Connor Brooks from Chase The Bear jump in to the studio to talk band history and unleash some serious rock and roll.

This week brings not one but two incredible musicians in to the studio as we kick things off and gain some insight in to the life of cellist and composer Alex Hauka! Then, the second half of our show has hosts Travis and James chatting with Hotel Mira frontman Charlie Kerr about his songwriting approach, future plans and what his transition was like from his former group JPNSGRLS.

Jason is a radio personality and host of The Medicine Show which is a multi-media variety show, featuring live music, and industry guests on CiTR 101.9FM. When he's not on the air, Jason is writing his own music and bringing awareness to important issues surrounding the health of indigenous people through film. Our second hour brings soul pop artist Marlie Collins in to the studio. Marlie sheds some light on how she got involved in the industry, her career as a vocal coach and voice actor, and what her experience was like recording her debut LP earlier this year.
