Gutekunst has been very busy as of lately. At his press conference on Tuesday we heard from him and by saying not much at all he really said a lot about Aaron Rodgers future in GB, while also having a lot of faith in the future of Jordan Love. While the QB situation is not settled yet, the Packers are setting up for whoever at QB to have great players around them with plenty of salary cap space to make some moves to help make this team great in 2023. By restructuring four major contracts already the Packers now have $17M of cap space with other moves still left to be made that number could go all the way up to around $33M.
The Packers have begun to make some serious roster moves, but without any news on Aaron Rodgers. What does this mean for Aaron Rodgers? If the Packers trade Aaron Rodgers, why might it be best to acquire 2024 1st round picks rather then 2023 1st round picks.
With Tom Brady retiring, this might be perfect for the Packers as that leaves Aaron Rodgers as the only QB with the potential to lead a team to a Super Bowl in 2023. And let's jump into the scouting avenue with our first mock draft of the year.
While we are past the AFC and NFC Championship teams, these 4 teams had a lot in common which are somewhat blueprints or lessons the Packers need to learn if they want to be competitive and put their best foot forward to winning a Super Bowl sooner rather than later.
Jordan Love has made it clear it's him or Rodgers. While Rodgers has made it clear he doesn't want a rebuild, and he wants some major players back with him which the Packers truly can't afford. With all of the reports that have been released it feels like both the Packers and Aaron Rodgers want to move on, and the trade market already feels like it's heating up. Both the Jets and the Colts have already shown interest which could cause a bidding war that could help the Packers be just a QB away from being a Super Bowl contender again by 2024.
The Packers might have one of the highest year 1 impacts from their rookie class compared to most other teams in the NFL, and Gutekunst deserves a lot of praise for how he drafted and some of the bottom of the roster types of players he was was able to add to this team, but I still think with a few different moves this team could be the #1 seed in the NFC and I want to share what those moves were and what I would have done as GM this season.
As it looks, the Packers aren't going to be moving on with any of their coaching staff, even though the Packers were quite underwhelming on both sides of the football this year. But let's dig into the data and explain why changes must be made if this team is serious about competing for a Super Bowl in 2023, and there are plenty of quality options out there if the Packers are willing to be flexible.
The Packers lost with everything on the line, and it was truly the Packers blame, and the blame needs to spread over the entire team coaches, offense, and the defense overall.
The Packers have the chance to seal the deal for their spot in the playoffs by beating the Detroit Lions this sunday. We break it down how and why the Packers can do that this Sunday? And while beggars can't be choosers, who we should be rooting for to set up an ideal playoff matchup.
The Packers absolutely crushed the Vikings on Sunday with a 41-17 win, how did that happen? With that win the Packers are in control of their own destiny to make it into the playoffs.
