Vegas and the media say that the Packers have one of the worst odds to win the NFC North, but really what team is the best in the NFC North? Today we are breaking down the entire division to truly determine which team is the best in 2023.

After one week of training camp, it's easy to want to get excited, but hold your horses. But knowing that is true how is Jordan Love and this offense doing so far? Should we be concerned with how this overall offense is doing? Which two guys have really stood out so far in camp? Finally, the biggest news is that Aaron Rodgers took a $35M pay cut to help the Jets. We talk about why he would do that, why that wasn't an option for GB, and a secret reason why the pay cut truly is the best move in the long run.

I go on record a lot saying what I think the Packers should have done, this podcast sums up my thoughts on the 2023 offseason from Day 1 what the Packers should have done this year. Everything from coaching, trades, free agency, and the draft. This roster looks a lot different in a good way. The team I built would have a better coaching staff, a younger and more talented roster, honestly a team that would most likely win the NFC North in 2023. But it wouldn't just be 2023, this team would now have around $50M more cap space in 2024, and 8 top 100 picks in the 2024 NFL draft. With both more draft picks and salary cap space the Packers could be ready to compete for a Super Bowl by filling in the gaps of their roster with the money, and using all of their draft capital to trade for the top rookie QB if Jordan Love isn't the guy.

While I don't believe the Packers should be spending tons of money on free agents anyways, Brian Gutekunst still did, as he spent over $20M on free agents this offseason. If the Packers are spending money on those guys, where should have the Packers spent that money. Let's break down the best value contracts over this free agency.

How good will the Jets actually be this season, and what kind of first round pick should we expect back in return from the Aaron Rodgers trade? It's important to note, Rodgers has not played on a top 11 defense in the NFL more than once in his entire career, the only year he did, the Packers won the Super Bowl.

Also, based on the Packers current roster in 2023 and salary cap situation in 2024, the Packers truly won't compete for a Super Bowl roster till 2025. If that's the case the Packers should trade away any player who's career should slide down prior to then, or any players who aren't in the future plans for the Packers.

If you would have asked me last September if there was any chance Jordan Love would work out to be an actually good QB, I would have said there was no chance in the world. But after what has happened in the last 8 months, I believe there's a lot more evidence that says otherwise. And why did the Packers sign Jordan Love to this unique 1 year extension?

While many give Brian Gutekunst praise as a GM, I believe we need to evaluate his decisions over his first 5 years as a GM, and by taking a closer look we can see how mistake after mistake has led to this team not having the personnel it should have. While it's difficult to do, had Gutekunst made the right decisions, most of the players who I loved, we would be talking about a Super Bowl dynasty being built in Green Bay to finish out Aaron Rodgers career.

The official schedule was released. What kind of record should we expect from the Packers in 2023? We will consider three major factors such as rest for both the Packers and their opponents, do we face an elite QB, and how good is the opponents overall roster. With the Packers predicted overall record, what should that mean for Jordan Love moving forward? And how does this record work out for the Packers overall for future for better or for worse?

Every year I personally feel like the Packers leave so much talent out on the board. In my redo of this years NFL Draft, I focus on grabbing players that are younger, better athletes, higher PFF Grades, and were ranked higher on the overall consensus board then the players the Packers selected. After going through this exercise as I was watching the NFL draft, I knew I would be disappointed but I never thought I would be this disappointed on the Packers missing out on dramatically changing the future of their franchise for the better.
