There were extensions given out, hyped up events, record sellout crowds, a series in Mexico, the owner saying his GM is excellence, players with bad quotes to the media, adding at the trade deadline before missing the postseason, a NL Cy Young award winner, the parting ways with the manager, the hiring of a new manager, the death of the owner and the (essentially) forced trade of a superstar.
