Padres Hot Tub

Craig Elsten, Chris Reed, and Raphie Cantor have gathered on the Monday of the Winter Meetings, where at the time of recording, nothing has happened. So, instead of wasting an hour talking about the nothing that's happened in Padres Land, the guys waste an hour choosing 30 new owners for MLB's 30 teams. These owners can be anyone, and we mean ANYONE, with an eye towards fun. So listen in and have a laugh with us as we imagine a league that's way more fun.

Craig Elsten, Chris Reed, and Raphie Cantor in a week where little happened. Yes, the Padres have a new manager in Mike Shildt, but the stove at 19 Tony Gwynn Drive is ice cold. That being said, the free agent market for starting pitchers is being set around the league, including the signings of Sonny Gray (STL) and Kenta Maeda (DET) on Monday. How can the Padres build up their rotation in the coming weeks? We trade for and sign some pitchers. Be sure to stay 'til the end for a wild card!

In an episode that will surely have a short shelf life, Craig Elsten, Chris Reed, and Raphie Cantor gather on Monday, November 20th when the Padres still don't have a new manager. But, there have been some developments in Padres land. Eric Kutsenda was named interim chairman after the death of Peter Seidler. Scott Barlow was traded for Enyel De Los Santos, and Austin Nola and Tim Hill were non-tendered. Plus, the starting pitching market is starting to heat up.
