PaintingLoft Podcast

I found an Art crime on youtube where two comic book vloggers find an artist using his girlfriend to sell his work that he copied from famous comic artists. For our strange art fact we talk about the history of the color red.  In Japan a paint company is labeling their tubes with no names at all but just combinations of primary colors. Krylon varnish that I've never heard of before. We talk about all the shows we are in this month. Among other things mentioned are nut meat and fruit meat, dangerous animals in your area and Trump busts around Brooklyn for dogs to pee on.

The PaintingLoft Podcast is about the "Dark Art" community. Exhibitions, Artists, Techniques, Ideas, Scandals & Crimes and all the things worth talking about in the realm the two host participate in.

Jessica Perner (Ward) and Scott Holloway are both artists exhibiting their work globally in the field of art that doesn't truly have a title but is widely accepted as "Dark Art".

I would at fist like to say that we had some audio issues again having a third person on the podcast. I can't figure out why but the guests levels are always really high and Jessica's ends up lessened. The problem is they are both on the same track so it makes leveling them out very difficult.  Also Matt was a bit choppy at times as well.

In this episode we mainly talk Art Crimes. One person is using another persons prints and gluing them to wood to resell them. And then we get a call in with Gallery 30 South and Matt Kennedy as he has freaky stalker dude mailing him and other galleries some VERY strange things. So strange the FBI got involved. Don't miss this one!!

Several art crimes this week including a copied sculpture and 3 drawings that were painted with human blood. More artwork being banned on FB because of adult content. Continued issues with my Paypal accounts. Being gifted an Alpaca skull. Multiple shows this month as this is our busy season. Some other things discussed were Mona Lisa's eyebrows, the strange death of Raphael, Rennaisance fairs and Spanish Influenza.
