   Esto de hacer viajes en bicicleta, por ahora a localidades cercanas y con amigos, en este caso El Ciclón de Ezeiza, debo confesar que me está gustando en demasía. Es que, en algún momento, lo confesé y como sabrán, el universo siempre acomoda las cosas. "Ojo con lo que pensamos y pronunciamos" Hoy:

Bicicleteada con el Ciclón de Ezeiza, hasta San Miguel del Monte

! [English]I must confess that I'm really enjoying cycling trips, for now to nearby places and with friends, in this case El Ciclón de Ezeiza, I must confess that I'm really enjoying it.       San Miguel del Monte o vulgarmente llamado Monte, es una ciudad situada en la provincia de Buenos Aires, distante 80 km de Ezeiza, por tierra, según Google Maps. La idea era ir por tierra en su mayor parte y volver en tren.

San Miguel del Monte or commonly called Monte, is a city located in the province of Buenos Aires, distant 80 km from Ezeiza, by land, according to Google Maps. The idea was to go overland for the most part and return by train.

      Esta vez no llegue tarde, como cuando fuimos a General Las Heras, pero tuvimos que pasar por una localidad Sepegazzini, para buscar a una de las Rosas del grupo, para luego si, transitar por la 52, camino a ruta 6 y luego seguir hasta la Fortuna, para finalmente encarar el último trayecto más pesado, por la arena, hasta Monte.

[English] This time I was not late, as when we went to General Las Heras, but we had to pass through a locality Sepegazzini, to look for one of the Rosas of the group, and then yes, to travel along the 52, on the way to route 6 and then continue to La Fortuna, to finally face the last heaviest route, through the sand, to Monte.

      Mucha tierra liviana, arena, sol, viento y todo el condimento que los ciclistas que amamos el mundo rural bike buscamos. Hubo pinchaduras de cámaras, que por suerte lo resolvimos muy bien, pero en líneas generales, todos llegamos a destino sin ningún problema, ni técnico/mecánico, ni físico.

! [English]Lots of light dirt, sand, sun, wind and all the spice that cyclists who love the rural bike world look for. There were flat tires, which luckily we solved very well, but in general terms, we all arrived at our destination without any problems, neither technical/mechanical nor physical.

     En la Fortuna ya teníamos un poco más de 40 km y nos sentíamos muy bien realmente. En lo particular, tomar el agua de ese molino no me hizo muy bien y sinceramente tenía agua en mi caramañola, pero lo tome porque fui a buscar agua para una compañera y recordé, que en otro episodio y en otro molino tome agua y realmente sabia muy rica. Cosa que no paso acá y por suerte no me causo ningún tipo de molestia estomacal.

! [English] In La Fortuna we already had a little more than 40 km and we were feeling really good. In particular, drinking the water from that mill did not do me much good and honestly I had water in my caramañola, but I took it because I went to get water for a colleague and I remembered that in another episode and in another mill I drank water and it tasted really good. Something that didn't happen here and luckily it didn't cause me any kind of stomach discomfort.

     Conocimos una parte de Monte y realmente quedamos maravillados por todo. Desde la pulcritud de sus calles, la amabilidad de su gente y por supuesto, por los precios del lugar. Aquí se puede venir a pasar unos días, una semana o quizás un fin de semana, ya que cuenta con cabañas al costado de su hermosa laguna y tiene muchas opciones para pasarla bien. Canoas, deportes acuáticos, pescar, darse un chapuzón, hacer un asado y muchos etcéteras.

! [English] We visited a part of Monte and we were really amazed by everything. From the neatness of its streets, the kindness of its people and of course, the prices of the place. Here you can come to spend a few days, a week or maybe a weekend, as it has cabins next to its beautiful lagoon and has many options to have a good time. Canoeing, water sports, fishing, taking a dip, having a barbecue and so on.

     Un monumento al emblemático arquero de la selección argentina y por supuesto del mejor equipo de futbol del mundo, River Plate, llamado Ubaldo Matildo Fillol. Lo de River es discutible 😄, pero así lo siento. Según Wikipedia, el arquero mencionado es de esta localidad.

! [English] A monument to the emblematic goalkeeper of the Argentine national team and of course of the best soccer team in the world, River Plate, called Ubaldo Matildo Fillol. The River thing is debatable 😄, but that's how I feel about it. According to Wikipedia, the goalkeeper mentioned is from this locality.

     Luego de una panzada, disfrutando de los enormes sandwiches del lugar, nos dispusimos a charlar frente a la laguna, ya que nuestro tren de regreso, recién a las 17 horas, salía a destino. Luego de una pedaleada bien contundente, el tercer tiempo es lo mejor que te puede pasar y más si estás en un lugar con todos los servicios. Hasta pudimos disfrutar de unos mates con bizcochuelo, que una de las Rosas, había llevado.

! [English] After a long lunch, enjoying the huge sandwiches of the place, we got ready to chat in front of the lagoon, since our return train, only at 5 pm, was leaving for our destination. After a very strong ride, the third time is the best thing that can happen to you, especially if you are in a place with all the services. We were even able to enjoy some mates with bizcochuelo, which one of the Rosas had brought along.

     Por suerte pudimos tomar el único tren que estaba estipulado para esa hora, con destino a Cañuelas y luego otro tren, hasta Ezeiza. Cansados, pero muy felices por la experiencia y la posibilidad de conocer nuestros pueblos, que son tan bellos y no están tan lejos. Agradezco a la persona que me invito a andar en bicicleta, porque el cambio fue rotundo en mi vida. En ocasiones, lo abandono un poco, porque realizo otras actividades deportivas, pero en mi mente siempre está presente, ya que lo considero sanadora.

! [English] Luckily we were able to take the only train that was scheduled for that hour, bound for Cañuelas and then another train to Ezeiza. Tired, but very happy for the experience and the possibility of getting to know our towns, which are so beautiful and not so far away.    Mas allá del deporte que practiquemos, se puede volver monótono, si no le damos un plus a los entrenamientos. Como muchos sabrán en Ezeiza, no tenemos montañas y aprovechamos los costados de las autopistas para emularlas. Lo llamamos el Adez (Asociación Despistada de Ezeiza) y no es porque seamos despistados, sino, porque carecemos de pistas para correr. El nombre se lo debemos a un señor sexagenario que todavía sigue dándole al running y bautizo al lugar con dicho nombre. Peculiar y divertida forma de denominar, nuestro lugar de entreno.

Entrenamos en el Adez

! [English]Beyond the sport we practice, it can become monotonous, if we do not give a plus to the training. As many will know that in Ezeiza, we do not have mountains and we take advantage of the sides of the highways to emulate them. We call it the Adez (Asociación Despistada de Ezeiza) and it is not because we are clueless, but because we lack tracks to run. We owe the name to a sixty year old man who is still running and baptized the place with that name. Peculiar and funny way of naming our training place.

      Siempre en los grupos, en este caso el grupo general "El Ciclón de Ezeiza", se arman subgrupos y normalmente lo conforman las personas con las cuales hay más afinidad o quizás también, por horarios disponibles para entrenar y otras variables. En este caso, "Los Tres Mos-cleteros" (no me pregunten por qué ese nombre 😃), conformado por Braian, Ale y yo, somos los que salimos mayormente a entrenar juntos. El chico de anteojos, es un invitado de Braian, se llama Lautaro y vino a conocer el Adez. Estos grupos son momentáneos y quizás estemos por el 2025 entrenando juntos, luego la vida nos lleva por otros lugares y quizás lleguen otros y se disuelva este subgrupo.

      Esta es una de las bajadas del Adez y pude capturar a Ale, emocionados como un niño realizando la osadía. Sé que quizás para algunos estas bajadas, no son tan pronunciadas. Ya que imagino como serán las de mis amigos venezolanos. Igualmente, para nosotros es algo gratificante, hacer algo diferente a lo que hacemos normalmente.

! [English] This is one of the descents of the Adez and I was able to capture Ale, excited as a child performing the daring. I know that maybe for some people these descents are not so steep. Since I imagine how my Venezuelan friends will be. However, for us it is something rewarding, to do something different from what we normally do.

      Por supuesto Palabras, porque aquí soy Palabras disfrutando, porque sinceramente Marcelo, no sé si lo haría. Mi bicicleta no tiene amortiguación, es decir, tiene la horquilla fija, que es mucho mejor para la ruta o caminos rurales, aunque en este último, la amortiguación va muy bien. De igual manera, tomando los recaudos necesarios se puede realizar y sinceramente se siente sabroso la experiencia.

! [English] Of course Words, because here I am Words enjoying, because honestly Marcelo, I don't know if I would do it. My bike has no damping, that is, it has the fixed fork, which is much better for the road or rural roads, although in the latter, the damping goes very well. Anyway, taking the necessary precautions, it can be done and honestly, the experience is a tasty one.

     Este entrenamiento, como se puede apreciar en el video, que te animo a que lo veas, planeamos girar alrededor de 1 hs aproximadamente o en su defecto, intentar dar 20 vueltas. El Adez tiene aproximadamente 1:3 km. La cuestión es que el único que dio más vueltas fui yo, logrando realizar 15 vueltas en ese tiempo. Para mí fue un logro, ya que Braian tiene 20 abriles menos que yo, pero evidentemente no solo somos cuerpo físico, sino que existen otras variables, como la cabeza.

! [English]This training, as you can see in the video, which I encourage you to watch, we plan to ride for about 1 hr approximately or failing that, try to do 20 laps. The Adez is approximately 1:3 km long. The thing is that the only one who did more laps was me, managing to do 15 laps in that time. For me it was an achievement, since Braian is 20 years younger than me, but obviously we are not only physical body, but there are other variables, such as the head.

     Una experiencia única que, por supuesto, en esta etapa de pretemporada, vamos a volver por más. Más vueltas, más subidas y por supuesto más bajadas. Aquí la velocidad no importa, sino el manejo de la bicicleta y por supuesto la resistencia física y mental. Me encanta cuando siento que los cuádriceps explotan y el ritmo cardíaco sube en demasía. Experiencia, que obviamente recomiendo.

   Soy de los que piensan que lo que verdaderamente queda, son momentos y debemos intentar siempre generarlo. Claro está, que los que ocurren espontáneamente son más geniales e inolvidables. Pero también creo que uno puede generar momentos intencionalmente y hasta minuciosamente y los resultados también son espectaculares y en lo particular, siempre intento hacerlo.

! [English]I am one of those who think that what really remains are moments and we should always try to generate them. Of course, the ones that occur spontaneously are cooler and more unforgettable. But I also believe that one can generate moments intentionally and even meticulously and the results are also spectacular and in particular, I always try to do it.

      En el video cuento, el porqué de mi desencuentro con los muchachos (Alejandro y Braian). Estuve a nada de desistir, ya que no me gusta andar solo y además siendo tan temprano (6:30 am aproximadamente). Pero las ganas de salir, el día que prometía buen clima y además, la noche anterior prepare todo, no tenía excusas para quedarme en casa. El destino, primeramente, era Uribelarrea, otra hermosa ciudad de la provincia de Buenos Aires, Argentina.

In the video I tell the reason for my disagreement with the guys (Alejandro and Braian). I was about to give up, since I do not like to walk alone and also being so early (6:30 am approximately). But the desire to go out, the day that promised good weather and also, the night before I prepared everything, I had no excuses to stay at home. The destination, first of all, was Uribelarrea, another beautiful city in the province of Buenos Aires, Argentina.

     Por suerte, antes de salir, envío un mensaje para cerciorarme de que ellos estaban en viaje y me confirman que no irían a Uribelarrea e irían a Villa María. Muy cerca de Ezeiza, distante 20 km aproximadamente. Ahí vamos generalmente, cuando queremos entrenar rápido y volver para seguir con nuestras rutinas. Entonces, cambio de dirección y voy rumbo a su encuentro. Antes me encuentro con Rubén, que me invita a unirme con otro grupo para ir a San Vicente, pero primeramente desistí y fui al encuentro de mis compañeros.

! [English] Luckily, before leaving, I sent a message to make sure that they were traveling and they confirmed that they would not go to Uribelarrea and would go to Villa María. It is very close to Ezeiza, approximately 20 km away. That's where we usually go, when we want to train fast and come back to continue with our routines. So, I change direction and go to meet them. Before I meet Rubén, who invites me to join another group to go to San Vicente, but first I desist and go to meet my companions.

     Sin darme cuenta, me encontraba en un pelotón en la ruta, yendo a San Vicente. Íbamos Rubén, Emanuel, Ana, Alejandro, Braian y yo. Antes de llegar a San Vicente, Braian dio la vuelta y dijo me vuelvo. El muchacho, evidentemente, no aguanto el ritmo y decidió retomar para su casa. El viento soplaba bastante fuerte, la chica del grupo tenía buen ritmo y cadencia. Por supuesto llegamos muy bien a San Vicente y para mi sorpresa decidieron no quedarse y seguir dándole por ruta 6, supuestamente hasta Cañuelas. Yo me sentía muy bien, ya que el ritmo era parejo y me la bancaba. El tema era Alejandro, que ya empezaba a dar señales de fatiga.

! [English] Before I knew it, I was in a platoon on the road, going to San Vicente. We were Ruben, Emanuel, Ana, Alejandro, Braian and me. Before reaching San Vicente, Braian turned around and said I'm going back. The boy, evidently, could not stand the pace and decided to go back home. The wind was blowing pretty hard, the girl in the group had a good rhythm and cadence. Of course we arrived very well to San Vicente and to my surprise they decided not to stay and continue riding along route 6, supposedly until Cañuelas. I felt very good, since the pace was even and I could handle it. The problem was Alejandro, who was starting to show signs of fatigue.

     De Alejandro hablé en otras publicaciones y es una persona que arranco hace muy poco tiempo. Tenía aproximadamente 115 kg y su transformación, tanto física, mental, emocional, gracias a la bicicleta, es increíble. Es por esa emoción que él se encontraba en ese pelotón. En un momento, rodando en la ruta 6, me dice hasta aquí llegué, vayan tranquilo que yo iré más despacio y estoy seguro de que llegaré. Por supuesto, no lo iba a dejar solo y decidí entrar en una calle de tierra, para acortar camino e ir rumbo a Ezeiza.

! [English] I have talked about Alejandro in other publications and he is a person who started very recently. He was about 115 kg and his transformation, physically, mentally, emotionally, thanks to the bike, is incredible. It is because of that emotion that he was in that peloton. At one point, riding on Route 6, he told me, "I've come this far, don't worry, I'll go slower and I'm sure I'll get there. Of course, I was not going to leave him alone and I decided to enter a dirt road, to shorten the road and go to Ezeiza.

     Como Alejandro arranco antes, haría casi 100 km en bicicleta y yo solo 82 km. Ambas distancias son bastante interesantes. En la tierra, por suerte, tuvimos viento a favor y gracias a eso, más el empeño que le puso Alejandro, llegamos muy bien al bar, donde descansaríamos y tomaríamos una cerveza.

! [English] As Alejandro started earlier, he would cycle almost 100 km and I would cycle only 82 km. Both distances are quite interesting. On the land, luckily, we had the wind at our back and thanks to that, plus the effort that Alejandro put in, we arrived very well to the bar, where we would rest and have a beer.

     Sinceramente, no es recomendable, consumir hidratos de carbono y alcohol, luego de los entrenamientos. Pero sabiendo del esfuerzo que viene haciendo Alejandro y las ganas que teníamos de una bien fría, es que tomamos la decisión de seguir nuestro deseo. En la semana, acomodaremos nuestra nutrición, pero ese momento sublime, queda para siempre.

! [English] Honestly, it is not recommended to consume carbohydrates and alcohol after training. But knowing the effort Alejandro has been making and the desire we had for a cold one, we decided to follow our wish. During the week, we will adjust our nutrition, but that sublime moment will remain forever.

     El pueblo de San Vicente, tiene mucha historia y seguramente volveré para realizar una publicación específica sobre ese pueblo. En definitiva, la bicicleta te lleva por lugares que jamás piensas que visitarías. Te encuentras con amigos viejos y haces nuevos amigos en el camino. La vida misma sobre dos ruedas y como siempre digo, generando momentos inolvidables en bicicleta.
