President Trump will host a rally in Florida tonight, one week after he left the hospital. He claimed he was immune from the virus on Twitter. The social media company labeled the tweet “misleading and potentially harmful.” New national polls show he is trailing Joe Biden by double digits. 

Jamie Harrison, who is challenging Senator Lindsey Graham in South Carolina, raised $57 million in the past three months. 

“That is what families do for each other,” Jeanie Buss said. “Lift each other up when they feel like they can’t go on.”

Dr. Fauci is warning that we could see 300,000 - 400,000 covid-19 deaths if we don’t take precautions 

The WH says the President slept well last night and is doing fine. 

WH advisor Steven Miller has tested positive for Covid-19, as have additional members of the White House press office and Coast Guard Admiral Charles Ray. Admiral Ray’s positive test has led to members of the Joint Chiefs of Staff quarantining. 

The President is angry with the FDA commissioner because yesterday the FDA released strict standards any covid-19 vaccines must meet before applying for emergency authorization. These guidelines include things like monitoring half of clinical trial participants for at least 2 months post-vaccine and having at least give severe cases of Covid-19 being reported among trial participants who received a placebo. https://www.politico.com/news/2020/10/06/fda-vaccine-guidelines-white-house-426764

NYT out with a story about the DOJ’s role in separating families at the border. It is based on a draft report from the Office of the Inspector General. It is disturbing. I want the final report and to read it and then I feel very confident we’ll discuss on the show.
