Over the weekend, President Trump fired the US Attorney for the Southern District of NY. Geoffrey S. Berman had been pursuing an investigation into Rudy Giuliani and the move was seen as further evidence that the Justice Department is purging those disloyal to Trump. Berman, however, refused to step-down and with several Senators making clear they would not support the appointment of a Trump loyalist, Attorney General Barr relented and appointed Berman’s deputy.

The Trump campaign rally in Tulsa on Saturday was supposed to be a triumphant return to the campaign trial, instead it was a huge disappointment. The campaign had plans for overflow from the 19K seat arena they scrapped at the last minute when only 6K people showed up. Trump spoke for two hours to seas of empty blue seats.
