Edita has had another health scare and Monica is there to support her. As always.
Fears, deep regrets, self-doubt, and the tendency to shrink in the presence of cruel narcissists—you’d think those burdens would vanish after being given a new lease on life.
But I still struggle.
The difference is, this time around, I tell myself, “This too shall pass.” And I believe it.
Still, I need this Novena. It strengthens me, helps me show up in the world with as much clarity, courage, and compassion as I can. I want to contribute—not halfway, but with the full capacity of who I am becoming.

As I listen to this Novena each day, I center my awareness on my heart—the seat of my soul, and, as I currently believe, the part of my body that connects me to the other side. Sometimes I move through my daily tasks or exercise while the Novena plays, but I always try to focus on my heart.
Speaking the Novena aloud alongside the recording adds power to this prayer.
I am not a doctor or medical professional. The content shared on this podcast is based entirely on my personal experience as a patient who lived with terminal Stage 4 gastric cancer. Nothing discussed on the Paranormal Happy podcast should be interpreted as medical advice.
I am simply sharing my journey—the choices I made for myself and the information I gathered, as I understood it at the time.
Please keep in mind that what worked for me may not work for everyone. Each person’s experience with gastric cancer is unique.
My hope is that my story may resonate with others or offer a sense of connection—but it is not a substitute for professional medical guidance. Any decisions or actions you take based on what you hear here are entirely your own responsibility.

I would never dare minimize anyone else’s pain or suffering. But during my own struggles, I’ve found it helps to focus on my heart and try to feel happiness—as if the pain or obstacle is already behind me.
And it works. Sometimes. 🙂
Internal happiness—completely independent of circumstances—isn’t easy to achieve. But when I do manage to generate it, it’s a powerful feeling.
At the end of the day, you can be the luckiest, most fortunate person on the planet—but if you don’t feel joy in your life and in your day, you have nothing.
The next weeks hold some challenges for me. So, I’m making a promise to myself: I’ll listen to this Novena every day for the next four weeks.

I wasn’t born humble, and true gratitude was something I had to learn. But the power of gratitude, when deeply felt in my heart, is undeniable—even if it only serves to calm me and fill me with happiness so strong, it brings me to the verge of tears.

Since last year, I have never weighted as much as I do now. Clothes that I wore for decades, don't fit anymore. But four years ago, I was terrified to look at the scale as my weight kept rapidly falling. I am so very grateful for my chubby alive body.
I've been listening to this Novena for over. nine days and the number on my scale hasn't changed much. But I have noticed some changes. I've stopped overeating. I've been exercising with re-discovered joy and stamina. I don't eat more than one big chocolate bar a day. I do feel better in this new, mature body.
Maybe I'm not supposed to be size 4. Maybe my ideal weight is different now. I definitely don't want to be the size 0 again. Never again!

In quick succession, I was hit with perimenopausal brain fog and chemo brain. For the past week, I’ve been reciting the Novena along with the recording, and I feel a tiny bit smarter. The other day, I had a long conversation with one of my children, and not once did I annoy them! -------------
