    It's been rare honor to have Harvey V. Chua join us for a chat online and we have uncovered these 5 nuggets (and more!) about her legacy, alongside her famous husband, the late John Chua.


    1. Their advocacy to encourage and enjoin people to love photography is highly commendable, as they willingly impart knowledge and techniques that will help as any aspiring shooter improve and succeed.


    2. Learning never stops for Harvey and she makes it a point to do mental exercises everyday. A book lover and a voracious reader, she loves the Encyclopedia Britannica.


    3. During her active years with AdPhoto with her husband, she took charge of running the business while John's main focus was the creative side (photoshoots). She ensured the proper separation of their roles because it was important that they have to have balance to succeed.


    4. Like any marriage, Harvey and John had trials but she could generally say their relationship was a healthy marriage. They worker out their trials together knowing that they're a lot stronger to weather anything as two people working side by side. 


    5. She has an admirable dedication to perfection and she does not sell yourself short. This is the advice she'd like to impart to those who want to pursue photography as a business or a career.

    6 Things We Learned About XANDER 

    1. He started out as a photographer's assistant and worked his way up. Because he wasn't choosy about his work, that's where he learned the ins and outs of the industry.  
    2. He wants perfect execution in his work. He sets standards for himself.   
    3. He's easily bored with what he's doing, so to counter that, he tries to evolve in his craft.   
    4. There was a time he felt he lost himself in the business. To find his direction, he rebranded.   
    5. He's generous with knowledge and shares what he knows even to those below him.  
    6. He's a smart businessman. That's why his name and his brand is popular.


      7. Xander Angeles has been in the industry for nearly 20 years and he has established himself as an in-demand fashion and advertising photographer before becoming an award-winning music video director and internationally-recognized artist. It’s highly possible that you’ve come across his work many times before and you’ve heard of his name. His credentials might be something you’ve aspired for as he’s the photographer for FHM's calendars and he has worked with brands like Penshoppe, Ponds, Rustan's and countless fashion magazines. 


      Apart from shooting the country's emerging and famous celebrities, he was also a one-time TV personality as one of the judges on Philippines' Next Top Model. 


      For this episode of PARC HERE, we'll get to know Xander, not just as a photographer, but as a person – for starters, what's he like at work and what has he learned in the business in two decades?
