This time, my good friend, Edwin Loyola, will be inspiring listeners as I probe into his journey into photography.

I've known Edwin for more than a decade. When I was just starting out, I've already been hearing of his name and, today, I'm still in awe of his creativity and vision as a multi-awarded and world-renowed photographer/artist.

His work is of a different breadth and his images evoke and provoke the viewer. He is the kind of photographer who isn't dependent on the gear or the technicality of taking a photo but his output is always a work of art, something that newbies could really learn from.

It was our privilege to probe into Xyza's profile as an artist and person. Now, we understand even better why she is where she is, as an award-winning and highly-recognized documentary photographer.

Despite her stellar credentials -- which earned her global recognitions from media outfits like BBC and Forbes, as well as prestigious groups like the Pulitzer, WMA Commission, and the Magnum Foundation -- Xyza remains down-to-earth and extremely congenial.

Her principle and outlook in life, a discussed in this interview, clearly aligns with her attitude as a person full of positive vibes. In our book, she's one of the coolest person we have crossed paths with.

An L.A. - based Filipino photographer, Edwin Loyola started joining competitions in the 1990s, rising from finalists to champion. He doesn't see himself stopping from competitions anytime soon.
