I have several degrees and certifications which also include a Paralegal Degree, ASL Masters, First Aid/AED/CPR, Tracheostomy Certification, 2 Black Belts in mixed Martial Arts and am currently furthering my studies through online classes at Yale. I also speak to groups of domestic violence survivors as well as advocate for both survivors as well as special needs families. Bob’s story
We all have an embarrassing story regarding money
Bad things happen. And more often, they happen when emotions dictate our choices. Many years ago, I had lunch with a wealthy friend I had not seen in a long time. I insisted that I treat him to lunch.
We had a fabulous meal at a fine dining establishment, and I paid for it with my credit card. To my dismay, the card was declined. When I provided a second card, to my embarrassment and shame, it was also declined. I had no other credit cards, and my friend ended up footing the whole bill. I couldn’t let that happen, so wrote a check to reimburse him for the cost. But guess what. My check bounced. Humiliating!
I know the shame of not having money at the right time, not being able to pay my bills on time, have food in the fridge, or enjoy a positive flow in my bank account. I have felt my stomach churn, my blood pressure rise, and the panicked feeling of humiliation, shame, and personal disgust at my inability to handle money.
It happened because I needed to apply sound financial concepts to my life. We all deal with financial issues and choices every day. Most of what we learned about money came from our family. How they thought and reacted to money choices shaped our thinking today.
But, have you ever stopped to consider that maybe they didn’t know what they were doing? Maybe you set unrealistic goals based on others’ ideas and mandates. If you are overwhelmed with credit card debt, can’t seem to save money, and feel hopeless and afraid just thinking about money-it is time for a change. Let’s conquer money shame and create a positive plan for long-term success.
You are not a failure. You are not unworthy. And you are not alone!
Through The Money Nerve’s concept of proactive intentions followed by thoughtful actions, you can build a life of abundance and walk toward the future with confidence and clarity.

About Chrissy Bernal
After helping scores of brands launch and grow with strategy, branding, content, marketing, and PR, I understand just how many pieces go into growing a brand. So, I help brands accelerate their growth with more intention and less stress by equipping them with the tools they need and by guiding them through executing what’s needed.
I know how overwhelming it can be to pull together all the pieces of your brand and to try and get the publicity you want. And I want you to feel great about the future of your brand. My goal is to make you stand out and shine!
While I work with men and women, one of my passions is helping women because I have had so many women tell me they’ve lost their sense of worth. I believe women should feel confident in pursuing their passions and achieving the level of success they want. So, I help women increase their audience and improve their influence with Brand Acceleration coaching, strategic publicity, and guidance in their book and podcast launches.
After accidentally ending up in the global spotlight for my unique identical twins, I was forced to create & grow a brand on the fly. By combining my formal education and my experience with Storybrand and Business Made Simple with the real-world knowledge gained from my family’s growth toward global brand awareness, I have a deep understanding of how to help brands clearly communicate their stories, increase their influence & reduce the chaos experienced in the journey of being known.

About Scott (in his words)
I was born and raised in California's San Joaquin Valley, not far from Sequoia National Park. The path to higher education was a meandering path through education, small business ownership, corporate life, and back to education.
Creating and using digital type has remained a passion since the 1980s. I began working with type in high school, creating bitmap fonts for video games. This required learning how both printers and computer screens worked. As a member of the school newspaper staff, I configured and maintained the lab Apple LaserWriter, which was rigged to work with IBM PC XTs. Working at the local newspaper, I learned plate making, phototypesetting, and the complete production process.
Rhetoric of Visual Design and Typography
Semiotic analyses of designs, particularly typographical choices, and the meanings transmitted to audiences. Interested in the historical evolution of typefaces, their uses, and the symbolism embodied by typography. As a scholar-artist, I explore all appearances of text within cinema and video, both within the narrative and as framing devices.
Creative Writing and the Rhetoric of Narrative on Stage and Screen
Qualitative and quantitative analyses of stage and screen works to model effectiveness as defined by audiences, writers, directors, and producers. Interested in works that successfully promote social change through narrative techniques.
