James and Jennifer Crumbley seem to be a mess and are probably sociopathic. They did a lot of things wrong, a lot of parents do, but buying a gun for their disturbed son, while pretending to buy it for themselves, is another thing entirely. They have also verbally attacked the families of the victims that their son killed. What struck me about this is where it occurred: north of Detroit. In this same area, there are many acts of violence perpetrated by young people who were failed by their parents. So, why are these parents on trial? I am not saying I disagree with the sentence, but I am asking, why them? Is it a race thing or something else? What about all the other kids who have gone haywire?
