After failing to find fulfillment by their own sinful plans, Abraham and Sarah receive joy through the child of God's PROMISE. Faith in Jesus the ultimate "child of promise" brings eternally satisfying joy & freedom from the slavery of saving ourselves.

God led Abram to fight only 1 battle; to rescue the notoriously sinful cities of Sodom & Gomorrah. They responded by becoming more bold in their rejection of God & were destroyed. Jesus' death & resurrection is perfect kindness toward you so turn to Him.

The promise to Abram & Sarai was threatened by the power of evil rulers, their own weakness, & especially their own sin. Yet God remains faithful to them & His promise to ultimately bring Jesus to suffer what we deserve so we could enjoy what He deserves.

By the promise to one man, Abram, God created a People for himself. Abram's faith in God and God's promise made him 'right' with God. This foreshadows a greater promise: All with faith in JESUS become HIS people, forever delighting in what He deserves.

The miracle of the virgin birth was a sign from God that proved He Himself had come - to save His people permanently from their harshest enemy: their own guilt.

Put your hope fully in being lifted with Christ when God fully glorifies Him. It’s a greater and surer glory than any other; worth waiting for, worth suffering for, and worth foregoing any other glory we might be tempted by. Stand firm in firm hope.
