The message of Christianity is this: "Jesus in my place." Ephesians 2:10 says, "For we are God's masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things he planned for us long ago." Baptism is the symbol of the new life we have in Christ so we can live our lives for him.

God loves variety, and each of us is his unique creation. Although this is a great thing, it can create a lot of conflict in our relationships. When we understand our innate differences, we can foster a greater self-awareness and, in turn, learn to relate to other people in a Christ-like manner.

One of the things that makes relationships so complicated is the fact that we all bring some baggage with us. We don’t just bring ourselves into a relationship, we bring our past circumstances and past relationships. When we leave our baggage at the foot of the cross, God can change us into the people He made us to be.

There is often a gap between what someone says and how we interpret what they say. This message provides practical ways to avoid conflict by filling this gap with trust.

Peter, one of the eyewitnesses of the resurrection, writes two letters to first-century Christians. In his letters, he talks about the implications of the resurrection. Just as Jesus left behind an empty grave on that first Easter. We, too, can walk out of our grave.

Escaping our addictions takes more than believing. The season of recovery can be very hard. You will want to give up and go back to the pit. But God has great things planned for you. Your addiction will always be a part of your story but instead of bringing shame, it can bring deep joy because of what Jesus has done.

God invites everyone to have a seat at his table. No matter who you are, where you come from, or what your addiction may be, God accepts you and wants you to know him.

When we don’t live up to God’s standards we feel it in the form of guilt and shame. Far from being automatically bad—these emotions signal what’s wrong. But instead of following the signposts to restoration we can blame others, lie, and hide. The powerful message of the gospel is that our sin is completely covered by Christ and there is no condemnation.

We believe that we are in control of our lives, and that sin could never trap us. We are blind to the subtle progression that takes us from being “enticed” and “deceived” and leads us somewhere that we never thought we would be.
