When Elijah was calling out to God to take his life, God gave him everything he needed to make it through. When life has us at our darkest moments, it is important to rest on the promise that God will give us what we need when we have no where to turn.

As human beings, we all have a longing for something greater than ourselves. Often times, we put the physical, visible, and tangible things before God. When we do this, it can lead down a very dangerous path.

Ever think just because you don't have much to give that God can't use you? Whether that is time, resources, smarts, or skills, God can use what little you have to make the biggest impact!

God never promised that the circumstances of life would be one great upward trend. He never promised that things will only get better so long as you put more faith in him. So what do we do with the droughts and valleys that life sometimes brings?

God’s people were at a low point spiritually. Human life was cheap and the nation of Israel was desperate for Godly leadership. That's when Elijah appeared on the scene. He was a simple man of God who was used in a great way to bring revival to His people. Elijah is a reminder that no matter how dark the world becomes, God brings the light through people who are fully committed to him.

How you perform at work is just as important as where you work. The way we perform and the way we worship go hand in hand. Putting your heart into your work allows God to bless you and the work you do.

One of the most powerful human emotions is anger. Rightly directed, it can work to solve injustice or meet the needs of the oppressed. Wrongly directed, it can destroy relationships and break hearts. Proverbs warns us about the danger of anger that goes underground, as well as anger that explodes. The solution to anger is to express it in appropriate, healthy ways.

The book of Proverbs has a lot to say about procrastination and how to beat it so you can live the life God meant for you to live. It begins with small changes that add up over time.

One of the most important things about you is your answer to this question, “Who are your friends?” Some of our relationships propel us toward our goals while others seem to hold us back. Proverbs 13:20 says, “Walk with the wise and you’ll become wise.” Maybe it’s time for forge some new bonds and create some healthy boundaries. If we do, we will learn that running with the right crowd helped us make real progress.Inviting good people into the inner circle enriches our lives in every way.

We all want life to go well; we all have good intentions. But direction, not intention, determine destination. We need more than good intentions, we need good direction—the direction that comes from God himself. We need to see life from his perspective, and not trust in our own ways.
