John 14:16-27. Ps Hilary Williams takes a look at part of Jesus' last words before the cross. Despite the situation, Jesus assures His disciples that He is about to complete His work and will forever be their - and our - Advocate. The amazing news is that all of humanity, through all of time, can encounter Jesus in personal relationship.

Luke 1:26-45. Dharsh Williams examines Gabriel's visitation to Mary. Upon learning she will give birth to the Messiah, we see Mary move from doubts to faithful obedience. Likewise this is a model for us when God speaks. Rather than focus on us fulfilling God's promise, we need to surrender all to this Christ who alone can fulfill His Word.

John 2:1-11. Ps Louis Baron looks at Jesus' first miracle. As a young couple risks losing face at their own wedding party, Jesus turns water into wine and preserves their reputation. However this points to something far greater. By the time Jesus' "hour" had come, He would free us from sin - and would secure God's approval of us through the cross.

John 4:7-19, 3:1-7. Ps Hilary Williams compares the encounters Christ has with Nicodemus - an "insider" - and the Samaritan woman - an outcast in every sense. While Jesus meets Nicodemus with truth, the Samaritan woman receives mercy. Yet ultimately, Jesus lovingly shows both their same desperate need for Christ.

John 11:17-44. Anoj Joseph considers the death of Lazarus. As Jesus encounters Martha and Mary, we see Him meet the sisters differently at their different points of need. This reminds us that the all-powerful Christ meets us at times with truth, at other times with tenderness - but at all times showing us His glory and grace.
