Ps Hilary Williams closes out the series - and the year - by looking at the subject of gratitude. Looking at Paul's words to the Thessalonians and Philippians, the apostle reminds us to be thankful in all situations. Being grateful changes us, as well as our focus - and ultimately causes us to look towards and worship our Saviour.

Revelation 5. Andrew Mihaleff looks at this amazing scene in the throneroom of heaven. We see a Jesus that, as He does continually, fulfils the purposes of His Father - in this case, by opening the seven-sealed scroll. The result - and our response - is eternal worship to the One that holds eternity.

Luke 15:11-32. Ps Louis Baron takes us through The Prodigal Son in Luke 15. While the prodigal's brother is jealous and aggrieved (rightly so, humanly speaking), Jesus our elder brother is kind, compassionate and welcoming. We are reminded that Jesus is brother to all those that listen to his teachings and obey them.

Colossians 1:15-20. From this breathtaking passage, Ps Louis Baron looks at Jesus as the Almighty Son. A Jesus that not only created all things, but reigns over all created things. His majesty is not bound by our theological constraints - rather, this should motivate us to serve Him with courage and commitment.

1 John 2:1-2. Ps Hilary Williams explains this often misunderstood role of Jesus. Rather than a lawyer pleading for mercy, we see a Christ who requests justice - and presents His sacrifice as full payment of our debt. Our identity becomes "lost in our advocate" - and His victory becomes our victory: His consuming fire becomes our refuge.
