Ephesians 4, John 15. Flory Fambabae (pastor, Oriental Mindoro) begins with a word of encouragement about what God is doing with our missions partners in The Philippines. Following this is an exhortation to remain in Jesus no matter what - and to be assured that although we use our gifts for Him, all of our lives and ministry are fully dependent on Christ.

Psalm 32. Dr Malcolm Gill (SMBC) looks at David's heartfelt prayer after he committed adultery. This psalm reminds us that none of us can save ourselves - and none of us are too far from the kindness of God. The heart of God is for us to come humbly and receive forgiveness - and know the joy of being clothed in His righteousness and walking with Him.

John 15, Hebrews 12. In this "tag-team" sermon, Mariela Castro looks at Jesus' teaching about the vine - and that the branches, by remaining in Him, should be fruit-bearing. Then, Anoj Joseph urges us in light of Hebrews 12, to run the race set before us - not looking at the distractions around us, but rather, remaining in His strength and enduring.

John 6:25-35, 51. Ps Louis Baron looks at this discussion among Jesus' followers. Jesus encourages us not to seek satisfaction in things, careers or relationships. Instead, we are to pursue the One that our souls find joy in - and the One who died for our misdirected desires... the bread that is Jesus Himself.

John 15:1-7. Ps Hilary Williams launches us into a new series - "Remain", a brand new theme for the year ahead. We are reminded that although we should desire to be fruitful Christians, fruitfulness needs to be seen as the outcome of a God-pleasing life. Our pursuit therefore, needs to focus on relationship with, and remaining in Jesus.
