Approaching the issues with sensitivity, balance and honesty, Hilary encourages us to take a considered Biblical approach and vote with our conscience. Irrespective of the issues, this timely word serves as a reminder to love as Jesus loved.

1 Peter 2:11-12. Ps Louis Baron concludes the Unbroken series by returning to the heart of 1 Peter. The apostle encourages us to flee sin and idolatry, and our greatest weapons are pursuit of God and living in church community. The result is that our lives should radiate our Saviour and thus, make the gospel attractive.

1 Peter 5:1-4. Ps Hilary Williams looks at Peter's message to leaders. Before anyone is a shepherd to God's people, they are still sheep first. The apostle encourages pastors - and their congregations - to see the balance nurturing and leadership. We are all to see ministry as willing service - not as duty nor for our power.

1 Peter 4:12-19. Ps Louis Baron preaches the end of 1 Peter's 4th chapter. As with much of his entire letter - Peter encourages the believer to expect suffering as a normal part of the Christian life. Rather than grumble - the apostle urges us to entrust our lives to God and rejoice that our temporary trials will be replaced with a permanent glory.

1 Peter 4:1-11. Ps Hilary Williams looks at Peter's reminder that time is short - whether through death or the coming end of the world. With urgency as its backdrop, this "call-to-arms" exhorts us to live for Christ and not be attached to this world. Peter pleads with us to live our earthly lives for the will and glory of God in all we do.
