Distress is the enemy – an enemy inside that you must learn to tame. Stress is friendly – it is good. You must seek both in journey.

This is emotional intelligence applied. This simply means you learning to be smart about your own desires and feelings, what you like and dislike. More importantly learning to regulate this flood of emotions throughout the day (personal best vs. blowing gaskets) (healthy).
