Bonus episode this week with my friends in Old Eastern. We will be playing a show together this Sunday at Racers Cafe. They were gracious enough to invite my band The Hollow Truths out. Our conversation took place a couple weeks ago in the green room at Cult Classic Brewing. We were playing a show with our friend Ben Dehan. I spoke mostly with Nick on this episode but Brendan and Terry snuck in there for a bit as well. I featured one Old Eastern’s tracks called “The Brad Leigh Saga” which you can find anywhere you listen to music. Links to the show this Sunday and to Old Eastern’s music are in the episode notes.
-Side note on the background noise: I believe the Caveman Drummer was warming up in the background, as well as me intermittently playing guitar.

This week’s episode features Steve and Jay of the Philadelphia based band, Phantasm. They are an alternative-rock band producing intricate, melodic songs in avant-garde stylings, reminiscent of Muse, Royal Blood, Tool, and The Dillinger Escape Plan. Their latest single Spirit Box (Tuned To You) went live on June 10 of this year on all major streaming platforms. They say the song was inspired by real life experiences using a spirit box to connect with the metaphysical in this dimension and the world beyond. So we talked all about that on this episode. As well as their music videos. In particular we had a few laughs regarding their video for “Lock & Key.” All the band links will be in the episode description below. As always thanks for listening and supporting local music.
