Limited authority to shoot down the mystery drones was given to police in Long Island.

This is now raising debates in other parts of the United States where the lack of clear answers is deepening concerns over exactly what the drones are, and who may be behind them.

And the debates are also raising new questions over military laws on shooting down drones, and why they’re not being used.
