On today’s episode, Neph sits down with special guests Sue Ross, Sumbul Siddiqui, and Dr. Elizabeth Stranges to discuss the importance of partnerships between medical professionals and community leaders as evident through current collaboration between CSPL and CERCL.
CERCL or COVID Equity Response Collaborative: Loyola is an interdisciplinary team of students and faculty from Loyola University Chicago who work in partnership with community leaders and public health officials to minimize the harm from COVID. As of today, they are providing free COVID-19 testing in two locations: Casa Esperanza in Melrose Park, IL, and Rock of Ages Baptist Church in Maywood, IL.
Currently, our first guest, Sue Ross serves as the Treasurer of the CSPL Board and the Co-leader of CSPL’s Immigration Committee. Our second guest, Sumbul Siddiqui is a second-year medical student at LUC who serves as a member of CSPL’s immigration committee and a CERCL organizer. Our third and final guest, Elizabeth Stranges is a Chief Resident of Internal Medicine at Loyola McNeal Hospital. She is also a CERCL organizer.
