PASSED BALL SHOW #88 7/9/2013 Part 2 WITH BOB WATSON AND JERRY ROYSTER; I open up with my interview with long time Astros and Yankees 1B/ OF, Astros and Yankees General Manager and former VP of On field discipline Bob Watson. We talk about how many home runs he lost playing his home games in the Astrodome, being the GM for the Boss and winning a Gold Medal and World Series. I follow that up by speaking up with former Braves and Dodgers 2B Jerry Royster, who also managed the Brewers n 2002. We talk about coming up with the budding 1970s Dodgers teams as well as becoming a regular for the Braves. In addition, we touch on his catch which was featured on the credits of "This Week in Baseball" as well as taking over as manager for one of his best friends and coaching with Bobby Valentine last season for Boston. To close it out, I criticize the AL Final Vote, which happened to include just relief pitchers this season

We talk about being drafted by the hometown team, the trade to the Dodgers for Rick Rhoden, throwing a no hitter as well as playing in 4 different decades. I get into the categories of pitchers who threw more than one no hitter, then talk about trade "dumps" and how they can be sometimes useless. I then speak with former Orioles LHP Brad Pennington about being the heir apparent to Gregg Olson. PASSED BALL SHOW #87 7/2/2013 Part 2 WITH BROOKS KIESCHNICK; I open up by talking about the probability of the Twins trading 1B Justin Morneau and OF Josh Willingham and how the Twins may not be in a hurry to deal them. I then talk to former Cubs, Reds, Rockies and Brewers OF/ 1B Brooks Kieschnick about being drafted in the 1st round of the 1993 draft, never getting a chance to get 500 ABs for the Cubs and being taken in the expansion draft by the Tampa Bay Devil Rays. We also talk about being a two way player (pitcher and position player) and how revolutionary his place in baseball was at the time. I then talk about the LOOGYs and why they have to be experienced to be effective, how it is not a surprise that the Pirates have taken their game to the next level and Ryne Duren, the original "Wild Thing." We talk about him being the Mets first round draft pick after winning the World Series, reasons he struggled early in the majors after success in the minors, playing in Japan and making the postseason. I then get into the upcoming trade deadline and discuss options for teams like Boston, Atlanta, the Dodgers as well as the Phillies, Mets and Yankees. I am then joined over the phone by former Reds, Royals, Braves and Rangers LHP Charlie Leibrandt.
