I predict that RHP Kyle Lohse will be signed by next week's show, just do not know by whom. I speak to ameteur baseball player Montaous Walton about his attempts to try out for independent league teams and his decision to fabricate some of his accomplishments. I finish off by making some striking comparisons between former New York Mets 1B Carlos Delgado and Mo Vaughn

PASSED BALL SHOW #88 7/9/2013 Part 2 WITH BOB WATSON AND JERRY ROYSTER; I open up with my interview with long time Astros and Yankees 1B/ OF, Astros and Yankees General Manager and former VP of On field discipline Bob Watson. We talk about how many home runs he lost playing his home games in the Astrodome, being the GM for the Boss and winning a Gold Medal and World Series. I follow that up by speaking up with former Braves and Dodgers 2B Jerry Royster, who also managed the Brewers n 2002. We talk about coming up with the budding 1970s Dodgers teams as well as becoming a regular for the Braves. In addition, we touch on his catch which was featured on the credits of "This Week in Baseball" as well as taking over as manager for one of his best friends and coaching with Bobby Valentine last season for Boston. To close it out, I criticize the AL Final Vote, which happened to include just relief pitchers this season

We talk about being drafted by the hometown team, the trade to the Dodgers for Rick Rhoden, throwing a no hitter as well as playing in 4 different decades. I get into the categories of pitchers who threw more than one no hitter, then talk about trade "dumps" and how they can be sometimes useless. I then speak with former Orioles LHP Brad Pennington about being the heir apparent to Gregg Olson. To finish off, I am joined by MTR Radio's Wilson Caicedo to talk a little about the All Star game and Yasiel Puig

PASSED BALL SHOW #87 7/2/2013 Part 2 WITH BROOKS KIESCHNICK; I open up by talking about the probability of the Twins trading 1B Justin Morneau and OF Josh Willingham and how the Twins may not be in a hurry to deal them. I then talk to former Cubs, Reds, Rockies and Brewers OF/ 1B Brooks Kieschnick about being drafted in the 1st round of the 1993 draft, never getting a chance to get 500 ABs for the Cubs and being taken in the expansion draft by the Tampa Bay Devil Rays. We also talk about being a two way player (pitcher and position player) and how revolutionary his place in baseball was at the time. I then talk about the LOOGYs and why they have to be experienced to be effective, how it is not a surprise that the Pirates have taken their game to the next level and Ryne Duren, the original "Wild Thing." I finish off by sending by condolences to the family of former MLB pitcher Justin Miller and play the interview I recorded with his this past February

We talk about his emergence on the Royals staff, the even-odd thing, pitching on a bad Mets team and his comeback after shoulder surgery. I go right in to my discussion with the President of the Negro Leagues museum Bob Kendrick. We talk about the history of the Negro Leagues andits place in baseball history. Bob tells us about the museum and how its come a long way since its origins in 1990. We talk about the all time Negro Leagues team and the statues that are in the museum. PASSED BALL SHOW #90 7/25/2013 Part 2 WITH CHRIS DONNELS AND CHARLIE LEIBRANDT; I open up with my interview with former Mets, Astros, Dodgers and Diamondbacks infielder Chris Donnels. We talk about him being the Mets first round draft pick after winning the World Series, reasons he struggled early in the majors after success in the minors, playing in Japan and making the postseason. I then get into the upcoming trade deadline and discuss options for teams like Boston, Atlanta, the Dodgers as well as the Phillies, Mets and Yankees. I am then joined over the phone by former Reds, Royals, Braves and Rangers LHP Charlie Leibrandt. We talk about his early years in Cincinnati and what he learned from guys like Tom Seaver and Mario Soto, his middle years with the Royals and their younger pitchers and his later years being the veteran on the Atlanta Braves staff

I then speak with former Mets and Orioles outfielder Benny Ayala about hitting a HR in his first MLB AB as well as his postseason success with the Orioles. I finish off by talking about Chris Davis, his all time single season HR chase and where he ranks amongst the best for a single season. I get into the biogenesis scandal, mention how no suspensions will happen this year and no player without a prior suspension will get a penalty of above 50 games
