Day 52 started with a saddle fitting clinic I was excited to host, clients lined up, horses prepped, results ready to be delivered. But just as the first truck pulled in, I got word a ewe in lamb and become trapped in the boundary fence. Emergency rescue mode activated — and that was just the beginning!

Between lamb recoveries, stuck sheep, and running the clinic in full stride, today tested everything: timing, focus, and energy. But when standards are non-negotiable, you don’t drop them. You rise through them.

Day 50, and I’ll be honest, the last 10 days have been tough!

Not because of the work, but because of the mental block.

Routine has a way of numbing creativity. The farm, the weather, the horses… It’s all felt the same. And yet, I’ve pushed through.

Because discipline isn’t for the days you feel good. It’s for the days you don’t.

From a rehab win to prepping the barn for elite saddle fitters, today still moved forward. Not because it was inspiring — but because I showed up anyway.

Day 47 - Today was CHOAS: a ewe emergency, a storm rolling in, a red-flag client story, and a whole schedule knocked sideways. 

But even in the middle of it all, I kept the standard.

This episode should’ve been out before sunrise. Instead, it’s hitting the feed at 8:15pm.

And that’s exactly what I talk about today, how breaking your routine breaks your rhythm.
A small change (a lie-in) derailed the structure of my entire day. Noise, pressure, delays… everything compounded.
It reminded me why routines, discipline, and consistency matter, especially when no one’s watching.

From starting lamb watch and managing logistics…
to overhauling a 70x90m arena surface and reorganising the entire facility…
This was a day built on momentum, not just motion.

I also made the tough call to pull one of my horses from showjumping tomorrow after spotting a new hematoma, disappointing, yes, but performance can never come before welfare.

This episode is about pre-empting the pressure, making smart moves before you’re forced to… and owning the difference between doing more and doing what matters.

Day 43 - Not every day starts fast, but that doesn’t mean it’s wasted.

With physical energy low, I shifted into planning, prep, and high-impact choices.
Two horses head home stronger than they arrived. 

The weekend is now cleared for recovery and study.
