What We’re Drinking Today
Food to try in Havana
· Frita — Basically a cheeseburger but with chorizo mixed in the patty and topped with fries
· Medianoche — A popular sandwich served in night clubs. Sweet egg bread filled with ham, pork, cheese, and pickles.
· Ropa Vieja — Literally means “old clothes” in English. National dish of Cuba. Is like pulled pork but better.
· Mixto — A popular lunchtime sandwich on Cuban bread.
· Torticas de Maron — Like sugar cookies but with caramelized rum in the center.
· Dulce de leche — A caramel sauce made with milk, sugar, and cinnamon. Eat it straight out of the jar.
· Flan — An egg custard with a soft, spongy base and typically topped with fruit.

· Hemingway Museum in Havana — Visit the home of Ernest Hemingway that has been converted into a museum.
