Pastor Allen Nolan Sermons at Cornerstone Fellowship

In this week’s message, Pastor Allen unpacks the true definition and purpose of the gift of tongues. He explains that the word “tongues,” refers to a supernatural ability given by the Holy Spirit to speak in a language one has never learned. Contrary to common misconceptions, this gift is not a natural skill or linguistic talent, but a spiritual manifestation of God’s power.

Not every open door is God’s will.

In 1 Samuel 24, David is given what appears to be the perfect opportunity to kill Saul, end his years as a fugitive, and take the throne God had promised him. David’s men believed God had delivered Saul into his hands—but David recognized that the opportunity was actually a test.

In Episode 20 of this verse-by-verse series on the life of David, Pastor Allen Nolan explains why David refused to sin in order to obtain what God had promised. David was willing to wait for God to give him the kingdom rather than take it through disobedience.

Have you ever faced a situation in which every visible avenue of escape seemed closed? In this message from 1 Samuel 23, we continue our study of David’s fugitive years and discover how God remained at work even when David could not see a way forward.
