The cross is the wisdom of God, the power of God manifested in such a way that it looks foolish to the unbelieving world.  The foolishness of God is wiser than any of man’s wisdom.  The cross is God’s total provision for you and I.  God made possible through the cross everything that we have need of.  We either receive on the basis of the cross or we don’t receive anything.    

Jesus took on the form of a servant, went through the work of the crucifixion, poured out His life, died, was buried, rose again so that you and I can experience the salvation that He has for us, which includes forgiveness and cleansing, peace with God, dying to self, but being raised up and having God live inside and filling us with His Spirit.
